About this restaurant

  • Neighborhood gem
  • Lively
  • Good for special occasions
Seasonal Italian Restaurant. Focused on Handmade pasta, bread and pizza. We get all of our products as locally sourced as possible.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: James Trees

From the OpenTable editors: When James Beard-nominated chef James Trees opened Esther’s Kitchen in 2018, he helped put the Arts District on the city’s culinary map. Now in a stylish new space with an open kitchen and whimsical animal wallpaper, the refined Italian spot still turns out the same wood-fired sourdough pizzas and knockout pastas (get the rigatoni carbonara with snap peas) that made it an instant Vegas classic.

Great place, the service is outstanding. The food is delicious but a bit expensive on fish and meets against portions. We would recommend this to friends for a date or a special night.

We decided to try Esther’s kitchen while visiting Las Vegas. We started with the sourdough and cultured butter and drinks. Them, we shared the cauliflower, mussels, and pork chop, which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The cauliflower was delicious. The mussels were not my favorite, but I think we did well with the rest of our choices. Best thing was the service. Our server was fantastic. So glad we chose to dine here.

Beautiful pottery plates and bowls. Great service and the pasta is the best in town. So glad we went off the strip for an amazing experience

We’ve been wanting to try this for quite awhile and finally managed to score a reservation since they moved into their new space. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is top notch. The bread was amazing, the servers were awesome. My pasta was very good, my husband didn’t like the lasagna at all. Very different take that he didn’t enjoy but found interesting. He mostly ate mine. Slightly disappointed because I was expecting amazing but I would like to try it again.

Service was horrible, food didn’t come out in order. Took bottle of wine before finished. After complaining wine was comped. Drink was never delivered. Pizza was supposed to be appetizer and didn’t arrive until the end in a to go box.

Always fabulous. We went on a Weds night. Busy, a bit loud, but the foods outstanding, great service by friendly servers, and the drink menu is varied and interesting. We got the bread service (a must!), meatballs along with the "Little" (aka huge) Gem Salad for starters. That would normally be enough for two, but we soldiered on. We got the pork chop (delicious!) and the rigatoni with almonds. Esther's Kitchen is truly one of our favorite Vegas restaurants, a gem in the desert, and we will be back every time we are in town!

There were 3 of us at dinner. We all had a different house made pasta and they were all amazing and delicious. Our 2 waitresses Caroline and Daphne were efficient, knowledgeable and very personable. It was a lovely culinary experience!!
