About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
Seasonal Italian Restaurant. Focused on Handmade pasta, bread and pizza. We get all of our products as locally sourced as possible.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: James Trees

From the OpenTable editors: When James Beard-nominated chef James Trees opened Esther’s Kitchen in 2018, he helped put the Arts District on the city’s culinary map. Now in a stylish new space with an open kitchen and whimsical animal wallpaper, the refined Italian spot still turns out the same wood-fired sourdough pizzas and knockout pastas (get the rigatoni carbonara with snap peas) that made it an instant Vegas classic.

Disappointing from one of our favorite spots in town. I took my wife for her 29th birthday. This was our first time at the new location. We went with our favorite butter app and bread, which was phenomenal. I ordered the Branzino which was also delicious. Unfortunately we had to send back her pasta dish because it was salty to the point it wasn’t edible. In the 10years we’ve been together, we’ve never sent a dish back for being too salty. The meatballs they brought instead were lacking enough sauce. We had some leftovers so we asked for a To-go box, the waiter insisted he would box it for us, proceeded to take our food and never brought it back. We asked if our sever if they did anything for birthdays in which she said they don’t do anything on the house. Which is fine I guess. When she proceeded to bring the check, she brought out two shots the she insisted were a treat for the end of our meal. Worst shot I’ve had in my life. We both drink regularly but this shot was truly horrible. Tasted like cough medicine. Would have rather had nothing then take that shot. Not sure why she did that but Felt like the perfect end to really bad experience.

Wow!!!! I’ve been looking forward to this meal for a long time and let me say that every single bite was unbelievably delicious. We had the sour dough with buratta, anchovy butter and foie gras, pomodoro spaghetti, meatballs, chopped salad, radiatore, affogato for dessert and two cocktails. The atmosphere was wonderful and the service was very good. I liked how they paced the dishes so we didn’t feel rushed and could truly enjoy our meal.

This restaurant knocked it out of the park! The food was amazing!! An absolute treat; A 5 star dining experience you won’t forget! I can’t wait to return and try their dinner menu. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Las Vegas. The service was excellent, the ambiance was great, and the location was perfect. A reservation is a must and you won’t regret it.

We had lunch because we are too spontaneous to book a month in advance for a dinner reservation lol. I was very good the hype is real. The service was phenomenal. We will be back again for sure. Big problem with the whole experience is the art district it’s self. We had to park 4 blocks away from the restaurant and had to almost scrap with other people looking for parking. That would be the only thing that would keep us from coming back. It creates anxiety in what is suppose to be an enjoyable experience. Other than that, keep up the good work Esther’s Kitchen. 👍🏻

The restaurant was fabulous! The homemade bread was crusty crunchy on the outside and soft and mouthwatering in the middle. Appetizers of mussels and cauliflower were uniquely prepared and flavorful. The pasta entrees had such savory interesting combinations served in large portions. Unfortunately, Wasn’t able to finish in all! Would highly recommend and will return next time I’m back in Vegas!

Not the quirky place that I remember next door. But food was as good as ever. And generous.
