Seasonal Italian Restaurant. Focused on Handmade pasta, bread and pizza. We get all of our products as locally sourced as possible.

Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: James Trees

From the OpenTable editors: When James Beard-nominated chef James Trees opened Esther’s Kitchen in 2018, he helped put the Arts District on the city’s culinary map. Now in a stylish new space with an open kitchen and whimsical animal wallpaper, the refined Italian spot still turns out the same wood-fired sourdough pizzas and knockout pastas (get the rigatoni carbonara with snap peas) that made it an instant Vegas classic.

ABSOLUTELY amazing! It was worth the wait! The bread is to die for and the burrata was spectacular! The homemade pasta and pizza were mind blowing! I wish I could eat there everyday!

Everything was amazing. So busy and packed. The chefs choice of butter was more for like a big group. We got the tuna crudo, tartare and cauliflower and ended with the girella pasta which was a 10!

Everything from start to finish was amazing. Our server was funny and efficient and always there when we needed her but never around when we didn't. From the bread to the pastas that we all had the food was excellent. We couldn't have asked for any better place to be on Valentine's Day.

An excellent experience from beginning to end. The service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. The house-made sourdough bread was the best bread service any of our party could recall having at any restaurant (definitely indulge in the accompaniments), and the fresh made pasta was perfect. It's no wonder reservations fill up fast!

Maybe we hit a bad spot, might try again, but this Valentine’s lunch was to be desired . We checked in, and were seated on time, but, we’re seated at a table directly in traffic, in front of the kitchen window, when there was clearly three others available. It was uncomfortable to say the least, and extremely loud having to hear the expeditor yell “hands” the entire time. Not great for our first trip, we understand , it’s crowded and loud, but seating is two feet from the service window, craziness, not great at all. Next, without saying too much, I know food, , we got our pizza, while it was close to done, it needed more time, obviously when all the toppings slide off, to reveal an uncooked, slimy skin, we all know what the problem is. We also ordered a meatball sub, we could have used a steak knife for the bread, and we did not realize there was also a marinara shortage going on? Anyway, we both left completely underwhelmed and quite surprised, noting that on the way out, the same hostess who said, “yes , the end table” when seating us, didn’t even acknowledge us on the way out, or ask how things went. We have heard good things, but this was not what we were hoping for on our Valentine’s Day.
