Born from a passion for authentic, honest cuisine, Embankment Kitchen embarked on a journey to really feed people. Rooted in the warm spirit of Northern hospitality, this is a neighbourhood kitchen where you can eat, drink, unwind, and truly feel at home. We believe in the power of good, solid, recognisable dishes and fresh, seasonal ingredients. Each dish is crafted with precision and a touch of refined elegance and always prepared from scratch, in-house. If it isn’t already obvious, we love what do, and we work hard to curate a menu of classics that have the power to make you want to order everything.     The food was fairly standard in quality and taste. It wasn’t bad but just a lot of simple quality fried food and just nothing of great tasting culinary experience. The decor of the place is lovely but it actually the restaurant for hotel next door and it just lacks a lot for imagination, price you pay and a lot better options in Manchester.

    The food was great and well worth the money. Service was exceptional, very lovely and was always happy to help. The venue itself was gorgeous 😍 lots of seating (bar stool, restaurant seats or sofa type) Will definitely be going back!

    Have only had breakfast 4 times. Each time between 30-40 minutes wait from order to serving. An extra coffee can take 20 minutes. The food is good, but unfortunately it is not enough.

    The restaurant is beautiful however even though we booked a special set menu for New year’s Eve this was not available. There was no complimentary fizz on arrival and no mention of this plus the menu was different to online despite all this being on my booking. We had booked 2 courses for 31 or there was an option for 3 courses for 40 but we were told this was not the case resulting in a very pricey bill with added tax and service charge! All 3 Yorkshire puddings in each meal were burnt and not edible and the cocktails were soo strong we didn’t manage to finish them. Not very child friendly as they were reluctant to share the kids menu plus it is not visible online. Safe to say we won’t be dining here again.

    The table booking was 10am. We were not seated until 10.15am & then waited until 11.10am for the food. The restaurant is clearly not able to cater for the number of guests wanting breakfast. Guests who has made reservations were being turned away for refunds at reception. The girl from Newcastle with the red hair was thoroughly lovely though & tried her best to appease for the fact that we had been waiting so long.

    We have been here a few times but this visit wasn't great. We had a booking when we arrived we were greeted by the host who then just pointed to our table....we took ourselves there....then got some menus and didn't tell us that there was so many items not available 😕 this was so annoying as when we went to order there was items that we wanted no longer available it would have been good to know this sooner. Food was OK have had better....staff were just sitting around......1 dish wasn't great and the beef was fatty and looked so unappetising bit waiter did/said nothing...overall a really disaster visit and we won't be back...
