   We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was a wonderful experience from start to end. Food was fantastic, especially the pasta. At least go for the pasta! I was sad when I finished my leftover plate of rigatoni alla norcina- fresh quality pasta bites and the sauce was chef's kiss. Our staff for the evening was warm and accommodating. I would highly recommend you eat here! It is on the pricier side and parking can be challenging. Otherwise, I cannot stop raving about the food.

   It was wonderful top to bottom. Service was outstanding, food was delicious, we loved the inside it was super nice, no one was loud or abnoxious. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

   First time eating at Elvira. Delicious food absolutely amazing service. Can’t wait to come back. The ambiance is incredible.

   The service was personable, close and timely. Our seated table was not optimal. Stuck in a corner with a view of the kitchen entrance when the seating area was empty. The food was delicious and well prepared.

    Absolutely, positively go to Elvira. It's a fabulous, cozy restaurant where you truly feel like you are an invited friend. The space is beautiful and the service is perfect. But the food is always the best part. Who knew that the best pizza in San Diego was at Elvira? I love pizza and honestly have not found any place in the County that makes a better pizza. I also love bucatini amatriciana and, again, no one makes it better. We ordered three entrees and shared them, with the third being the Wednesday night special, which was absolutely incredible. My mother in law (who is a critic of everything) couldn't stop raving about the meal. All three entrees and the special appetizer were as good as Italian food gets in San Diego. I will be back as soon as I possibly can.
