Welcome to Elena's -- a place where a family’s love for authentic Mexican food is celebrated and combined with California-inspired elements and signature Mexican-American dishes. We offer reservations for up to 8 guests via OpenTable. At the time of your reservation, we kindly request the entire party be present to be seated. Tables will be held for up to 10 minutes after the reservation time. For parties that arrive later, the table will be released but we will do our best to accommodate the reservation with the next available table. Reservation requests via phone or email are not available at this time. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you to Elena’s!

    Our server was exceptional (table 56)! She was Warm, friendly, offered helpful suggestions and we never felt rushed… We live in the ‘hood and are glad to have such a wonderful restaurant among the many other West Portal gems!! We’ll be back soon! Congrats on being open almost a whole year (February 5th🎉🥳!!).

    Great spot, always a fun time! During this last experience, they had some issues with kitchen ventilation, choking us out with astringent smoke a few times

    Elena’s is lovely. The restaurant is very attractive and lively. The service was great even though the restaurant was full with people waiting at 4:30 pm on a Sunday. Unfortunately the food was only okay. My shrimp fajitas and were salty and my husband’s camarones a la Diablo (a spicy dish) were flat. The best part was the empanada appetizer. They were delicious. Maybe it was just an off night?

    We have been looking forward to eating here at Elena's and we were so happy to finally have made it in for brunch. Great food! Can't wait to go back.
