ELEM is a new restaurant and cocktail lab on Main + 5th.

Guests can expect to indulge in Top Chef Canada alum Mayekar’s bold cooking, featuring creative flavour-packed dishes that highlight the unique spices from cuisines around the world with local ingredients, alongside Winnie Sun’s inventive, element-inspired and sustainability-driven cocktails.

ELEM’s food menu is an exploration of flavours and spices from all corners of the world, including Bangkok, California, Spain, Mexico, Italy, and Mumbai – all inspired by Mayekar’s extensive travels and Indian heritage. There will also be a big focus on local BC-grown ingredients.

The 2,946 square foot, 76-seat space was designed by Vancouver-based Marko Simcich Architect and features three dining spaces and an open window into the kitchen to see the chefs at work.

    Michelin star level dinner. Absolutely amazing experience! The food was perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. The lamb is to die for. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and quick. Every dish exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to come back. Easily a 10/10 dining experience!

    We were blown away with the cocktails and the food...the creativity in taking all the individual ingredients to another level of taste!! Also, what made the meal so memorable and enjoyable was the knowledge the waiter's imparted on us with regards to each item that was served. We opted to try the tasting menu and were not disappointed with the dishes that were served! We see ourselves going back when we're back in town. Cheers to the management and the team at ELEM!

    We went to ELEM on NYE so only experienced a set menu. The service was outstanding, everything about it screamed “we want a Michelin star”. The mocktails and cocktails were visually stunning and delicious. The food was 4.5/5 for us as we weren’t obsessed with the lamb ragu dish but it was undoubtedly someone’s dream dish. The interior decor is modern, clean and cozy. Loved the tour before the meal, but because of the set menu and special occasion the $450 for a couple (without the drink pairings) was on the pricey side. Would definitely go again, and have plans to soon with friends when it’s a regular menu.

    A very welcome addition to the Vancouver food scene. A unique dining experience - they have don’t a great job in executing the dinner service. The food is flavourful and creative.

    It was our first time, we tried Jakarta, and Chef's negroni for the drinks. We also tried some of their foods it was very tasty.

    Great time at Elem! Menu can be more cohesive in terms of thought, but the food does taste good. Inventive cocktails and story behind each drink. Great service throughout especially Supi!

    Came for my brithday dinner. They greeted us promptly, showed us around the restaraunt, and treated us very nicely throughout the dinner, my questions about the food and drinks were always answered in detail. The food was all incredibly presented and super flavorful. We Will definitely be back on our next special occasion.
