We have booked a table in advance and were greeted nearly immediately by a staff member. We weren't asked if we have booked a table, which we found a bit odd and although we did say that we have come here for food, no drinks menu was provided so we had to take one from the table next to us. I have ordered the corn fritter with salsa Verde and Chipotle mayo from the brunch menu and I have really enjoyed my meal! Everything worked and I would absolutely come back for it, however my partner has ordered the beef burger and was gravely disappointed in it. The beef was high quality but it was bland and her fries came in cold. The fries were swiftly replaced by the waiter once we grabbed her attention, however the replacement was still sad. Although they were hot this time, but they were not fresh. It tasted like old and dry yesterday's fries. Can't a restaurant serve fresh fries? The meal was priced for 15.00! Is this the best you can give? Appaling that this is what they actually serve to people. It takes 5—7 minutes in hot oil to cook the fries and we didn't mind waiting. It was already nearly 3 pm, surely there was enough time to cook a fresh batch.
It's not the end of the world, but it's frustrating as we went out for a treat and this place seemed quite highly rated, but the quality was not living up to it.

Over-all its a nice place to go. You know what you are getting.
The only thing that needs addressing is the table layout upstairs. The room is dominated by two large couches with a low table in between, while long tables are crammed next to the stairs creating a single narrow corridor as the only access to the rest of the room. There is also a table right at the top of the stairs with no lighting.
It’s obviously become so familiar no-one questions the layout. The central couches are only suitable for tapa’s type food and people sit there mainly drinking and chatting while some dinners are cramped next to thoroughfare’s.
