   The food was on point - happy hour menu was varied, with many delicious options and at a reasonable price point. Service was good, but more on the "hovering" over you type...too much attention that made us feel uncomfortable and that we were being rushed out so that they could turn the table. The staff were friendly and polite, but just a bit too much "in our face".

   We had an excellent dining experience with my 15-year-old daughter. Making a reservation was quick and easy, and we were seated promptly upon arrival. The hosts at the front gave us a warm welcome, setting the tone for the evening. Our server, Kimmie, was exceptional. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her customer service was outstanding. She consistently checked in to ensure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed. My daughter even said it was the best customer service she’s ever experienced at a fine dining restaurant and count not stop saying the word "wow". We’ll definitely be back!

   Great food and drinks. Price is reasonable for the quality of food. My main complaint is that everything was rushed. We felt rushed to order, the food came out quickly, the wait staff came numerous times asking if we were done with the plates. We had reservations so we figured we would be able to relax and have a nice dinner. The prix fixe dinner even says that if you order the prix fixe to plan for 2 hours to eat the whole dinner - we felt we were rushed out in an hour and a half. The way the wait staff, literally, ran from table to table - this was just not an upscale experience.

   Today I brought along three friends to help celebrate one of their birthday. It was perfectly wonderful. The food was great. The staff is over the top fantastic, the atmosphere is perfect and comfortable. I know my friends and I will always come back to Eating House 1849.

   Eating House 1849 did a good job of accommodating my food allergies. But I should note that I'd requested that if they used any ingredients other that those that I'd indicated, to please check with me first. However, my pan-fried salmon arrived with some type of greens sprouts as garnish on it without my clearing it first. I got the busboy to bring me a plate so that I could remove them rather than take a chance. If the sprouts had been something besides greens, I would have sent the plate back to the kitchen. Some of my allergies are life threatening, so I have to be very careful. The steamed rice and asparagus that I had as my sides were fine, and the salmon tasted good too. When I asked for a side of butter, the busboy brought it with a spoon that turned out to be dirty. Fortunately, I noticed it before using it. I showed the waitress, who was appropriately horrified. They ended up giving us a dessert for free as compensation. My husband's food was generally good from what he told me. We've eaten at Eating House 1849 previously with no problems at all, and we will go there again. I don't want to turn anyone off from giving them a chance, but I did want to note that there were a couple of minor issues that came up.

    Sage was awesome, you could tell it was busy but every time she came by our table she took a moment to slow down and made our experience great on Thanksgiving day. Thank you for showing my mom so much Aloha for her first time on Oahu.
