I booked a table for East Side Tavern for Saturday night. We arranged for a babysitter, got a taxi into town, arrived at the front door only to find the whole place closed and no sign of it opening. At all. Lights off, chairs upside down on the tables, no staff to be seen and the phone just rang out. As you can imagine, we were very disappointed as it was one of our first times out as new parents and a lot went into arranging our night out. If the premises has closed, than let people know and disable your booking system. A complete disgrace.

Nice atmosphere in a nice bar centrally located. Burgers and fish were good (perhaps a little expensive at 15 Euro) Steak was very poor even though it was cooked exactly as ordered but lacked flavour and tenderness for a striploin.( Also a little on the expensive side at 20 Euro which was the earlybird price). Service was reasonably good.

Picked this place due to close proximity to National Concert Hall. Really lovely ambiance, excellent food, great wine, and lovely staff!!

We went to the East Side Tavern for my pre Hen Do meal and I would have to say that it was the perfect location to have such a meal! The atmosphere was buzzing. It was unusual as it was like eating at the side of a very busy bar but it really worked for the kind of occasion it was! Would definitely recommend for larger groups (6-12 people) aged between 20-40ish who are looking to have some loud fun but also a really nice meal! Make sure you book first though as it was extremely busy.
