   Absolutely loved Early to Rise! The donuts are a must order and thought the Banana's Foster Pancake was delicious! Solid breakfast plate but I'd likely try something a bit more complex. This place was super busy but the staff handle it pretty well.

   Disliked the coffee, food was good but slow to the table. Service was good when they actually showed up. Waited about 10 minutes for the glass of water and another five to give the order and another wait for the unpleasant coffee. I don't mind waiting when a place is busy, but they had many wait staff. It wasn't one overworked waiter trying to do the whole room.

   The owner/executive chef came and spent time talking with us. Was really the icing on the cake for a wonderful brunch.

   A great range of food to choose from. The Canadian bacon that came with the Benedict was really good. Shrimp and grits tastes nice. But the bagel for LOX sandwich was pretty hard to bite into.

   Everything made in house. Such care and attn to detail. Grits from SC. The donut special was amazing. House made sausage was delicious. Bacon that they smoke in house for 2 weeks? C’mon. So good.

    Generally a good experience. I think they suffer somewhat with the "everything made from scratch" theme. The menu is generally very simple with not a lot of things I actually want to order that I couldn't find at any coffee shop or cafe. Maybe it's just hard to appreciate how much work goes into the little things I take for granted at other restaurants being homemade. Generally, the flavor was pretty good. I particularly liked the grits + Benedict combo. 4/5
