Ilan Cohen is a self-taught chef who began his career in Jerusalem, Israel more than 20 years ago.
Along with his wife Lauren they opened Falafel Bistro & Wine Bar in 2007, DVASH’s sister location, and has been serving authentic-Israeli cuisine to the South Florida community for more than a decade.

DVASH, located in Boca Raton, showcases a modern twist on classic mediterranean cuisine. Imagined by Cohen’s daughter, Anabel Hochberg, the menu is designed for sharing and provides guests with the opportunity to travel the culinary world through their taste buds, using only the freshest seasonal ingredients and of course, a little bit of honey.

Our food was fabulous ! Chefs cauliflower dish, mushroom hummus outstanding. Everything we ate was so good ! Can’t wait to go back. Service was good but lacked a bit of attention after meal was given.

I ordered the shakshuska. But instead of nice poached eggs on top I got well done poached eggs, my friend ordered the mashuhana burger which she ordered medium rare it came out well done. She sent it back and the second one was medium not medium rare and she said the meat was do dry she couldn’t eat it. This was my first time there and probably my last

Lovely casual place with easy parking. Service was attentive and food came at a perfect pace for drinking with appetizers and mains. Started with a glass of sangria which was perfectly balanced. The whipped feta appetizer was a textural sensation - airy cheese and crunchy chickpeas. One was salty and the other sweet. Ask to get it with the fresh bagel. Our two entrees included the smash burger and the schnitzel. The latter had the best fry and seasoning. It's huge too. The smash burger was what my dreams are made of - spicy sauce and perfect cheese ratio. Thank you DVASH for a great date night.

Appetizers were excellent, the entrees were not as good. Lamb kebab a little on the dry side, didn’t care much for the garlic mash, expecting mashed potatoes but came with garlic rice

Greek salad was bland and wilted. Unnecessary one dollar charge for extra pet. Our party of 4 was asked to vacate our table after only 11/2 hours. Should have been offered to have a drink at the bar. The experience left us very disappointed.
