I've been going to Duke's for 25 years, starting with their place in South Lake Union. I always enjoyed the quality of the food, and their attention to detail and freshness as well as wonderful service. My perception is that they now have been feeding off of the name and the geography of their locations for quite some time. Today, at West Seattle, the food was average at very best, the chowders really were poor to mediocre, and considering they are supposed to be experts at chowder, my local Town and Country has a much better chowder at their hot food bar. Service felt a bit apathetic and not attentive for the cost. Just not a great experience, unfortunately. and does not match the high cost of the meal.

Duke's is a mainstay for us. The staff put their hearts into what they do. The bouillon food, sans the halibut, is superior.

Dukes food does not disappoint-always delicious, albeit priced too high. We wait for specials or our birthdays to go in. The food coming to the table was slow-maybe they were understaffed? Still, we’re fans. Also love walking Alki beach after a meal.

We have always had a great experience at Duke's on Alki except for the recent one. We had reserved our favorite table, but when we got there it wasn't available for us. Then we were seating next to 4 people who had a dog with them, and we saw the dog eat off of the table. It really was off putting. This experience was really unpleasant for us, but I like to think it was a rare exception.

The employees were very personal and accommodating. They were familiar with the items on the menu, to tell me if they were spicy. The food tasted great. The ambience spectacularly!

Overall the food was good and served efficiently. We ordered from the happy hour menu. I did think that $50 for happy hour for two people was a bit much, but happy hours seem to have considerably increased in price since Covid. We will definitely go again.

Went for my birthday lunch. The fish in the fish and chips was too salty. When I peeled away the coating to see it that was the problem- It seemed that the cod had been brined in salt. The wine also tasted like it had gone bad. Overall- a disappointing experience.
