We are a natural wine bar and restaurant in the heart of Soho - we change our menu weekly and cook with the seasons using the best ingredients the season has to offer. Our menu is an eclectic array of dishes that we're either in the mood to eat or that take inspiration from a dish we've enjoyed somewhere along our journey. Whatever it is, we aim for it to always be a combination of simple cooking and delicious flavours.. This keeps us excited, and what we do at Ducksoup fresh and lively.

We search out characterful wines for our wine list and work with a small number of suppliers who source well-made, honest natural and biodynamic wines from producers whose wine-making practices are carried out with love and care. We change our wine list by the glass as frequently as our food menu so that you (and we) get to enjoy new and interesting wines.

The room is quite tight and tables are small - food style is tapas / small plates so the table becomes quickly congested - however the waiting staff were good in moving things around the manage this, we really like the what the duck wine offering where staff chose wines for you - the serving of wine was small though especially for the money - the wine was good though. Really liked the fact they played actual vinyl records on our evening predominantly 80’s. The food was very good, everything we had was tasty. Overall we enjoyed our meal but it was expensive - we would return but there are other places to try.

The food was brilliant. We stuck to a variety of small plates. Great drinks including non alcoholic sodas. Lovely food, exceptional service by lovely Australian guy.

We booked a table at 9 pm downstairs, which they were clear about but unfortunately there were no other diners downstairs, I would avoid eating down there as it’s a bit soulless. Then at 9.45 we asked to order another plate of food and were informed the kitchen was shut - no one had come to tell us this, which was disappointing. The food was excellent but the service wasn’t great.

I have dined here several times but on this occasion there was no flow to the service. Most of our plates arrived all at once and the lamb dish barely had any lamb on it (I noticed some one else was served a substantially different, bigger portion). It all felt rushed, which was a shame because it was my 50th birthday.

the food was excellent, the wines were great i just wished there were few more of £40 per bottle as the wines were great but very expensive by the times you put the service charge and the vat. The service charge was 12.5% which is great as we refuse to pay 15% service charge so we appreciated it! the service was friendly and good. overall we loved it

It was a good evening, food was nice, but we all agreed natural wine was not our thing and for that reason and the overall price we wouldn't go back.

I’d like to preface this by saying I have never felt inclined to write a restaurant review before. However, my recent disappointment at Duck Soup compelled me to try something new… silver linings. Last night I booked Duck Soup for dinner as a treat for my best friend’s birthday. I chose the restaurant as I’d been before years ago and found the food and wine delicious and loved the downtown NY vibe of the place. However, whereas in NY you would expect impeccable service with a server who is knowledgeable and attentive, Duck Soup on Friday was more akin to the British NHS with zero consistency of care. It felt like we kept getting passed around from person to person - no one explained the menu, they failed to bring us wine (which by the glass is served in the tiniest of portions and costs a fortune). I’d requested a table, but they gave us a seat at the bar even though a table sat empty behind us for the duration of our meal. As for the food, let’s call it decent. There was one salad of celeriac and pomegranate that we moorishly devoured, but the majority of our bland small plates sat unfinished and unmemorable. These included a KFC-esque fried chicken dish accompanied by an inexplicably and grotesquely supersized dollop of flavorless yogurt and a shockingly unseasoned and dull combination of chewy mozzarella decorated with a measly fig and anchovy or two. To call the experience underwhelming would be an understatement. In short I shall not be returning to DUCK SOUP, and I suggest you don’t either unless you are craving terrible service, tasteless food and a whopping huge bill at the end of it.

THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD BUT THE SERVICE WAS RATHER INDIFFERENT - NO WARM WELCOME, NO SMILEY SERVICE, NO HELPFUL INFORMATION TO REQUESTS OR QUERIES, THE DECOR IS RATHER DATED AND SIMPLE, HOWEVER THIS IS NOT A CRITICISM AS IT IS THE STYLE OF THE RESTAURANT
