We had a very enjoyable lunch. The restaurant is a beautiful mix of old and new. We had a seat by the log burner, which was very cosy. The service was great, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our meals were excellent, good quality ingredients and we really enjoyed our lunch.

When we were shown to out table upstairs, we were delighted that we were in a panelled room with rather few tables; it seemed that we might have a peaceful evening. And so it remained until six diners joined the last table. The noise they made was astonishing. Those six drowned out the quiet conversations taking place around us. Those six were shouting in order to be heard by their companions who were also shouting. There was more noise coming from that table than was coming from a big party downstairs. I cannot recommend Drapers Hall to a friend; the friend might encounter similar bad behaviour.

Lovely afternoon spent in this historic location. Service was excellent, and the tea and coffee just kept on coming. The food was lovely, and beautifully presented. A great way to spend an afternoon with friends.

Second time to Drapers Hall for food and we were prepared for the food to be not quite as good as the first time - which was truly excellent - however, the food was again absolutely amazing. We had the taster menu and each and every course was totally delicious. The service we received from all the staff was second to none. We will be going back for a third visit very soon.

Wholly disappointing. Food was lovely but incredibly slow service meant there was far too much time between each course. We were forgotten about when we came in, and had to ask to see menus, plus I was given the wrong bill, twice. Really not impressed.

Arrived for 1:45pm Sunday lunch, the restaurant 30% occupied. No heating, except for a gas fire (on a cold winter's day) advised it had failed! No attempt to make the place warmer by closing a door. Food was acceptable but nothing special. Wine very overpriced. We frequent restaurants 5 -6 times per month, suffice to say I would definitely not recommend.

This isn’t the first time we have had a meal at Drapers but it was the first time we have tried the tasting menu. The welcome was first class as usual and we were taken to our table on time. The food was fantastic and the waiters knowledge of the dishes was very good. We do love the atmosphere at Drapers hence the reason why we keep on going back !

Beautiful building and great central location , we managed to park outside , champagne on arrival and shown to table which was upstairs , food was tasty and kept coming , the lobster general appearance with chunks of bread maybe could of looked neater , table decorations were a little sparse , desert table idea was ok but to walk down stairs to pick your pudding and carry it up yourself was maybe not the best service , an expensive Xmas lunch at £400 for 3 but I guess it was Xmas day
