With modern design and a warm welcome, we provide Hatfield with excellent food and drinks that will delight and comfort. Using only the best ingredients and all locally sourced where possible, we aim to create a memorable experience for every guest, bringing together all of the ingredients to make every visit special.

We don’t challenge our guests with overly complex menus or absurd concoctions, but rather we provide a premium experience that delights the senses, inspires with style and presentation, and leaves our guests impressed and happy. Dining at The Comet Hotel was a generally good experience, with the venue being very quiet on my Sunday evening visit, meaning a wife choice of seating despite booking a table. Restaurant tables are comfortable and a good size , whilst lounge seating is very comfortable for a drink. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. Food was very tasty , with plenty of choice , although a little expensive. Overall a good experience. Just a small negative in that a gratuity, of 10% was added to the bill automatically.

We had a wonderful meal last night for my husband’s birthday. The service and food was exceptional and we would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Reserved a table in advance as unsure as this was our first visit. Service was very good and food was tasty and well presented. Not a huge choice of menu but what I had was fine.

We were pleased with Sunday lunch. The food was properly hot! Much appreciated. No English mustard a bit odd with roast beef! Excellent service.

Food OK - although chicken schnitzel seemed like formed chicken rather than a piece of flattened meat. Service really good. Only people in their on Sunday lunch so ambience was flat.
