   Once we managed to get parked we had a great time good food and service at moderate prices

   Shocking ! Ordered wine, but couldn't drink it as whole pub only had 10 wine glasses, as confirmed by waitress. Ordered camembert cheese starter, advised they hadn't got any. At which point we left and will not be returning.

   A delicious meal in front of a roaring fire on a cold evening, amplified by great service, the perfect sticky toffee pud and dog friendly vibe. Our elderly lab adored all the fuss he received from the staff, particularly the barman, who seemed to give the best ear massages!

   Not a great dining experience. Poor front of house management compounded by slow food delivery and many missing items from the menu including burger buns! There were also no wine glasses. Food when arrived was poorly presented. Manager did make adjustments to our bill at the end to compensate but only after we raised the issues not in response to things that were clearly going on the restaurant floor.

   Ok…decor a bit tired, food ok, not many choices for GF, my poached egg was hard boiled, small portion for price ( which I don’t mind if perfect). The positives were it was warm and the waitress was helpful. Would not go back.

    The Devonshire Arms, Baslow does not have the same atmosphere or food (except the pies! Which are superb!) as the Pilsney Inn, although part of the Chatsworth Grp of pubs. But is a good solid choice for a pub meal nothing fancy just good food, good service.
