Came for christmas dinner was very busy but we were seated at the back which was lovely and well decorated. We were offered our processco but then they offered the children orange juice I did say its not imcluded with their meal and they have drinks we had just bought. At the end 8.55 was added to the bill for 3 orange juice. I did quibble it and the lady serving admitted fault and the money was returned. But did feel cheeky to add on I appreciate its Christmas day but they choose to be open and we pay a lot. We also did not receive our leeks or cauliflower with the meal. My partner had one almost whole rock hard parsnip. And there was a long wait between our meals and the childrens Otherwise staff were friendly the meal was mostly enjoyable we would like to try a meal in the week some time as appreciate mistakes were made due to it being a busy xmas day Other than this staff were friendly the srartee

Two of the staff were vaping - this didn't feel great, especially as we approached the bar at first only to see the person behind it burp out a cloud of smoke. It was pretty loud, but it's christmas... and the eating area was slightly quieter. Not much room to put our feet under the table as it had a large base and we were not on chairs that could be moved. I'm veggie and asked whether the first jug of gravy brought was veggie or not - I was told it was, and I used it, requesting my mum's meat gravy. After we'd started eating, an identical jug of identical gravy arrived for my mum (not veggie). A few moments later, a completely different jug of much thicker gravy arrived which I was told was veggie, so it is possible that I've eaten meat gravy! The starters were reasonably tasty, but both the mains (turkey and the mushroom bourguignon) were bland. Only the sprouts tasted of anything. Desserts good. Staff seemed a bit pressured, but we accept it was super busy. I know the above seems picky, but A) a review was requested; and B) if we don't say how it was, then others can't decide - overall, we gave it 5/10 in our experience of xmas lunches.

Booking online was so easy to do, booked a table for 4 of us. The signs in the car park to let you know to put car registration details inside the pub were very clear. 2 of us had the Sunday roast a bed and pork, other 3 guests had the normal menu a chicken platter and loaded mozerella chips with chicken strips n gravy. The meals were delicious and piping hot. 3 of us had the homemade cheesecake with fruit of the forest compote it was gorgeous. Landlords & staff very welcoming and friendly, looking forward to returning soon. The pub is dog friendly has 2 big beer gardens front & back and very clean & tidy. The Christmas decorations inside & outside the pub looks fab an make it feel very festive🎄

It was OK, nothing special to be honest. It was a busy Saturday night when we went and the service wasn't great. We had starters, but when we finished our starters, no one came to clear the plates so we were left waiting for about 30 mins. I had to go to the bar and ask for our mains and the response from the barman was "I don't know what she doesn't just do that". I had no idea who he was on about but I am guessing one of the waiting staff. The food was delicious, however they missed my gluten free burger off so I was left waiting another 10-15 mins for mine while the rest of my table ate their food. I was brought a drink on the house to make up for it. To be honest, I was expecting a better experience on the whole. To summarise, food was lovely, service not so great.
