Been to Dario's many times so the poor service was surprising. The server was very attentive initially but non existent towards the end even though there were plenty empty tables. We actually had to cancel our beer refill because we finished our meal before we got it. The terrine du jour was a duck aspic and was a disappointment. The entrees we had were good but not exceptional. The recommended beer pairings were good.

I visited Dario's with my family to celebrate completing my bachelor's degree. The food was, as usual, an amazing gastronomic delight. My steak and fries were perfection made edible, and the cardamom creme brulee with mint chantilly cream was divine. The Sazerac cocktail I drank was very good, though I think the rye was a little too raw for the proportions so it came off a little heavy. However, the bloody mary was not so good. The tomato juice base semeed weak and thin, like strained fluid from a can of tomatoes. The pepper and whatnot (celery salt, too, maybe?) were poorly mixed and settled at the bottom of the glass before it arrived at the table. There was a smoky, tobacco taste that seemed awfully out of place as well. The bloody mary was a truly minor blemish, though, and that misstep was outshone by the absolutely stellar service and the magical food. The restaurant might be considered somewhat "cozy" if one is used to the highway-width aisles of chain dives, but the warmth adds a certain je ne sais quoi to the experience. It empties out quickly after 9:30PM or so.

The food is so good - SO GOOD! Aside from having the best cheeseburger and fries in Omaha, their supporting entrees are just the best. The short ribs and the chicken breast are two of our favorites on the menu. There is also a salad with duck and an egg...you just can't eat at Darios without this salad - it's perfect. We bring our toddlers and they have high chairs, but fyi moms - no changing tables. The waitress did bring our kids a grilled ham and cheese sandwich - it's probably the best grilled ham and cheese sandwich I have even ever had. I hope my kids appreciated it as much as I did.

We have frequented Dario's before (and have loved it every time) and that is why I chose it for my 50th birthday dinner with my family. The restaurant was full and lively, but not crazy and loud. Our table was waiting for us-we had a great bottle of wine, a delicious gouda & beet puree cheese appetizer, the special chilled soup (roasted yellow pepper & peach), Steak & frites, Mortadella crepe, mussels (Moules Bleu cheese), chicken (Coq a la Bierre) and the Short Ribs. Everything was excellent! For dessert, we ordered the Creme Broulee, the Ice Cream du Jour (Dulce de Leche) and the Chocolate silk cake (with a birthday candle-mentioned it when ordered dessert & couldn't decide which 2 to order). Everything was fabulous!!

The waitress was helpful. Amazing beer menu, nice wine list. The evening specials were interesting. Largest selection of mussels we have seen. Portions sizes weren't large, but adequate. Nice presentation. Inventive dessert menu.

Dario's was admittedly quite a pleasant surprise! Was looking for a new place to try for dinner, and being a big French cuisine fan, I decided to try Dario's with a few friends. My expectations were blown away! The food was outstanding I couldn't think of a complaint if I tried to force myself. Our server was very attentive (but not annoying), had a pleasant personality, and was a big help when picking out a wine. It was a tad noisy, but it's a small place and it was a Friday night so it wasn't a huge issue for me. We loved it so much, we're going back tonight for a second time!

My wife and I had supper with a few friends and the trip was flawless. The food that we all ordered was perfect, the beer perfectly paired, and the service stellar. I'm very impressed (as always at Dario's). I'll definitely be back!
