We had a delightful meal together and enjoyed four of the tapas plates between us. The Jamon Iberico was easily the best. The shrimp and the lamb chops were delicious too but a bit more highly seasoned than we’d have liked. But… the dipping sauces they came with helped balance that out. The roasted vegetables were much too highly seasoned for our taste. Our server was eager to please and enhanced the experience. One of the attractions for me was the broad selection of tequilas available. I enjoyed a Casamigo Reposada on the rocks, and the “rocks” were actually one giant ice cube that looked like a big gem in the middle of my glass. It melted only slowly, thus maintaining temperature without diluting the spirit. It released just enough water to open up the flavor. I’d never seen that approach before and will remember it for other drinks like a fine single malt scotch.

Early evening reservation. Parking situation not great, but food and service compensated well. Skewers of bacon wrapped dates accompanied by mustard and pickled vegetables. Assuming the skewers were baked. Great texture, well-matched flavor pairings. Satisfying. Toasted bread with a minced tomato jam spread, which I did not expect to enjoy as much as I did. Asparagus salad. Sliced lengthwise. Pistachio, mint, and a barely there oil dressing… refreshing, but hardy flavor. Easily enough for two people (maybe three). Potato croquets rested in a red Arabiata tasting tomato sauce that was halfway between bolognese and tomato paste in texture. Delicious and pleasing experience. Infrequent occasion kind of place because of price, but worth it.

Wonderful evening at Dahlia’s. Our first time here and we loved it. I had the Matadora drink which was amazing. We shared the Charcuterie Board and Potato Croquettes. Presentation and taste were perfect. Will go back when we are in the area again!

Dahlia was a completely sensational culinary experience. It ranks in my top 5 dining experiences, which includes all over the US and a large part of Europe. The service was personable, fantastic with a great deal of pride in what they’ve created. I got the sense that everyone who worked there really enjoyed what they do and really liked each other(Family). The bacon wrapped dates, the shrimp appetizer, the octopus and tostadas were to die for. The wine list was great and well priced. We ate outside on a perfect night. Every dish was prepared perfectly. We have already recommended it to ALL of our friends. We’ll be back. Can’t wait to try other items on the menu. This is an incredible date night spot.
