   Looking for great Italian on Amelia Island try Cucina South. A lovely set up in a home! Food was wonderful; the shrimp fra diavolo was lit! The service was off the charts!

   From the beautiful lady greeting us at the door to the service to the amazing food to the wine!! Amazing experience…not to be missed if you are in Amelia Island!!

   A local gem. Great food, wine list and friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. We had more fun dining at Cucina South than we did at the local Ritz Carlton, and it was far more affordable. A must visit in Amelia Island.

   Had another great event Cucina with friends. Our server, Nathan, did an excellent job. We never felt rushed. The braised beef ravioli was excellent as well as carbonate, Alfredo and eggplant parmesan. Thanks Llew and Nicki.

   Our group of 5 had a good dinner at Cucina South between Christmas and New Year's, but it appears the restaurant continues to change its identity each time we visit. Now, I would describe the restaurant as more basic rustic Italian cuisine; a year ago I remember it having some more creative takes on dishes and unique specials. Instead, now you mostly get traditional albeit tasty takes on traditional pastas and other Italian mainstays. The food was good (3 rated their entrees as very good, 2 said good) and the appetizers ordered (bruschetta & and raviola) were great. But I would no longer consider the restaurant as fine dining. And, at a price of $250 for 5 (including appetizers, a moderate bottle of wine.and tip) it is a bit higher than casual dining pricing.

   Great Italian food and wine in a cozy setting. We were visiting Amelia Island and were looking for Italian food and stumbled upon Cucina South. What a pleasant surprise as the menu featured pasta carbonara, my favorite. Cucina South has a good selection of wines, and we sampled 30 Degrees, a cabernet sauvignon. It paired well with the steaming dish of pasta carbonara and the lamb chops that emerged from the kitchen. Lots of pancetta on the carbonara, no stinting there. It was a huge plate of pasta that was so delicious that I enjoyed it all in one sitting. I’ll be going for extra walks this week for sure, but won’t regret a single minute of the eating, it was sooo goooood. Also very nice owners and the chef came out to chat with us. If you are visiting Amelia Island, definitely check out Cucina South. I know we will be returning.

   First time dining at Cucina South and very pleased that we did! The menu was moderately priced and they offered a quality selection of appetizers and entrees. The Zuppa De Mare was very favorable with an abundant amount of seafood and large pieces of lobster-really loved the broth! The meatball appetizer was delicious-large and moist with a tasty sauce. And the service was truly outstanding. If you want a quality quiet dining experience go to Cucina South. Very good Italian!
