We’re from San Francisco and looked forward to dining at CFK. This is our third time eating at CFK this year. Unfortunately, the food experience wasn’t as dynamic as the first 2 times. Maybe because we came on a Sunday during brunch hours. My guest ordered the chilaquiles and the dish came WITHOUT the carnitas. Instead of taking the dish back and having it redone, the kitchen sent out carnitas on a plate to add to the dish. The tortilla chips were soggy too. It looked like it was sitting under a heat lamp and wasn’t served immediately. It was bit of a tacky move on the kitchen’s part. We learned a lesson to only have dinner here and during the weekdays. We don’t think the kitchen can handle crowds.

The staff was excellent. We thought the menu did not have great choices. The Cesar salad was just ok, however the burrata/tomato salad was excellent. The pasta with the short rib meat was tasty but the noodles were not cooked well and were all stuck together. The ambience was nice, overlooking the golf course. Overall we thought it was fine but not our favorite.

Truly horrible experience. My scallops entree was NOT as described in the menu. No feta anywhere. The tomato side/sauce was extremely spicy hot. It tasted and upon close inspection looked like a lot of red pepper in it. When our server asked how our food was, I told her I couldn’t eat that very hot side dish, and asked if they could remake it without the red pepper. She took my plate to the kitchen. She came back about 10 minutes later (my husband had eaten almost his whole meal) , WITH MY ORIGINAL PLATE IN HAND, and said they can’t remove the pepper, that there is NO RED PEPPER in it, so I could have only the scallops…apparently the stone cold ones in her hand! She did ask if I wanted to order something else. Not interested after 1. my husband has already eaten, and 2. I have been told a complete untruth. What they should have done is to remake the scallops and the delicious beurre blanc, and offer a different vegetable side that isn’t hot as h.ll. We have eaten here many times, usually for special occasions such as my birthday. The food has always been excellent. Not last night. Even my husband’s rack of lamb was only mediocre. As we were leaving, I asked to speak to the manager. They sent out the same 20 something woman who seated us. Clearly not the manager. She tried to tell me that the seasoning on the scallops was what was hot. That is a lie. I ate one scallop before I ever touched the side veg. There was no heat on the scallop. That I received a lousy meal isn't why I am angry. It is that I was lied to. Thanks for ruining my birthday dinner. I won’t be back. The “manager” asked what she could do to make this right. How about stop lying to me.

Cork Fire Kitchen is not a typical hotel restaurant. The ambiance is wonderful, with beautiful views overlooking the golf course, prompt, friendly service and the food is fantastic. I had the pork skirt steak, which was new on the menu, and it was delicious. The bread pudding is wonderful, and easily serves 2.

We had reservations, but still had to wait 20 minutes for our table. Friendly staff, but service wasn't the greatest. Had to ask for water, they didn't clear our dirty dishes prior to bringing other plates. Seemed like a causal dining experience with the price of a borderline fine dining restaurant. The food was good, whiskey cocktails were good, although not sure if they were worth $20ea. Overall, nice restaurant, friendly staff, good food, our experience wasn't the best and we felt we paid too much.

The venue was lovely. My husband had lobster Mac and cheese. I really like the calamari, but my bolognese wasn’t my favorite. I do wish the menu had few more items. Overall a nice experience.
