   Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was disappointing from the start. After being incorrectly seated, our server took the opportunity to share details about her strained relationship with the greeter—an unprofessional and unnecessary conversation. She then informed us there was a wine glass shortage, and the bottle of wine we ordered would need to be served in either a water or whiskey glass. This was especially puzzling, as surrounding tables were clearly using proper wine glasses. The overall first impression lacked courtesy, professionalism, and a basic commitment to quality customer service. After some consideration, we chose not to dine here and instead went to La Belle Helene, where the service and atmosphere were far superior.

   Both atmosphere and food were some of the best we’ve ever experienced. For each dish, the combination of flavors was highly intelligent, and the execution of each dish was flawless. Our server was ready to give expert advice in every part of the menu and had mastered the art of being attentive without being obtrusive. The atmosphere was lively, but encouraged conversation. On the whole one of the best dining experiences within recent memory.

   Our reservation was seated on time. The food was great and the service outstanding. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked as well as the mussels. The appetizers, Mushroom tart nad olives were very good.

   First time here for more than desserts. Shared 3 small plates, all of which were excellent. Attentive service, and the waiter recommended a great wine pairing. We saved room for dessert, which was also very, very good. (Everything in the dessert display looked wonderful.) We'll be back.

   The servers are very well trained, and the food is authentically French. It's a lovely restaurant to boot. Definitely a great place for a meal in Uptown Charlotte.
