Cooks & Soldiers brings the cuisine and cultural experience of Spain’s Basque region to the flourishing West Midtown area. The menu is divided into “pintxos tradicionales,” or tapas-like snacks served atop toasted bread; “pinxtos especiales,” or Basque-inspired small plates; “asador” including a variety of wood-grilled fish, meats and vegetables; and a selection of unique and modern desserts. Behind the bar, Cooks & Soldiers offers guests an extensive collection of Basque and Spanish wines, txakoli and ciders, in addition to craft beer and signature cocktails. The cocktail list places a heavy emphasis on gin, offering a seasonal selection of house-infused tonics blended into gin tonics and other popular libations.

Everything about the dinner was excellent. We did the GRAND ASADOR EXPERIENCE and it was amazing. Service was excellent as well. Each course better than the last.

This has not been my first outing to C&S but tonight we had the pleasure of getting the Asador experience and it was incredible! Didn’t realize the experience could get better here, but it was one of the best food experiences I’ve ever had!

We had the BEST experience at Cooks & Soldiers! I had made a dinner reservation for my fiancé’s birthday, as we spend a lot of time in Spain ourselves, and the staff went above & beyond to make it special! From the very beginning they were so kind & accommodating. Our server, Jon, was absolutely phenomenal and who we presumed to be the owner was very helpful with our vermouth selections. They really made my partner feel so special during our time there, plus all of the staff, really. The food was delicious & drinks superb. We really loved our time here and will recommend to everyone. This was the best birthday dinner experience we’ve ever had. This place really knows how to do it right!! Thank you all so much. We will definitely be back!

Great service. Enoch was our server and he was super attentive and gave excellent suggestions. We had family visiting from India so he went out of his way to take care of us. Everything we ordered was delicious.

Cooks & Soldiers is at the top of my list for an evening out in Atlanta. I know we're always going to have a friendly welcome, excellent service, good wine choices and a mix of our favorite dishes and new specials. Our latest visit was no exception. We were greeted by several at the host stand. When we were seated, someone quickly checked our water preference. Then Anna, a server who had already helped us through several wonderful evenings, showed up with some cava to help us get started. We had a hard time narrowing things down but finally chose the pan de setas, our perennial favorite of earthy mushrooms on bread with a light spread of goat cheese creme fraiche, as well as the pulpo a la gallega because we hadn't had it for a while, vieiras (scallops) - they are always presented with some interesting vegetables, and the sunchokes. Anna coursed it out nicely so we weren't too rushed, and we ordered more cava to round out the meal. Had we had more people or bigger appetites we probably would have tried the bikini, a next-level grilled cheese with Iberian ham, or txistorra envuelta, a fun presentation of the Basque sausage, or txangurro, the classic crab dish. As it was, we had to take a box with us when we left. Everything was wonderful. I imagine the pan de setas was the favorite, but we loved the variety of the small plates. Thanks to everyone at C&S and especially Anna.
