Waited in line for 30 minutes after our reservation and all we were told was someone would be with us soon. Eventually one of the cooks came and it was clear they were busy but he sat us. We waited forever to place an order and for water. My husband ordered a spicy entre and a water refill was never brought until we asked. Then it was delivered when someone’s returned with our final bill. There was never an apology for the experience or a warning that service was slow, it was as if this was the norm. Extremely unfortunate as our food was overall tasty but the lack of service from start to finish definitely resulted in a poor experience. Shouldn’t have so much availability on open table if making a reservation there doesn’t mean anything. Find a better reservation software and hire enough staff to support the dinner rush.

We had a nice time at Ciccia Osteria. While it was busy, the food was excellent and nicely portioned (similar to an authentic spot in Italy rather than American style). Servers were friendly, and the cocktails were nice (they had a smoked old fashioned that was done right). We ordered mostly from the specials and they were all delicious, but the regular menu dish was just as amazing. Our only complaint is that the host was completely ignoring the growing line of people waiting with reservations. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time and no one came to the front until 15 minutes past our reservation time. We still considered the service once seated and food well worth the wait!

The restaurant was quite full so we didn’t get a table until 20’ after reservation, then another 15’ gap until we got served. It was also pretty cold on the patio. The food was amazing though!

We were a party of 10. Everything was excellent! Loved the ambiance, attentiveness, service, and all of our dishes were excellent! I particularly liked the squash blossoms & the squid ink pasta Mafalda with scallops. My boyfriend had the crab gnocchi & loved it too.

Loved the seasonal beet salad with burrata, the cream cheese with balsamic for the bread, the spagetti pomodoro, and the fritto misto. Also the house red wine was amazingggggg Oddly, the only thing I didn’t like was the bread, too spongy or something. I like a crusty Italian bread but that’s me.

So many unique flavors I never would have tried. I’ve eaten there six times; always bringing new guests to experience the authentic Italian food and personal attention. Everything is great!
