   Usually a nice experience. Tonight was not the best. Waited more than an hour and 40 minutes to get our entrees. We didn’t order any apps only salad. Waitress was nowhere to be found until we asked the other server (who was lovely) where she was. That’s when she finally appeared and told us there was a backup in the kitchen. She kept saying she expedited our order (at the 1.5 hour point). However, the table next to us (that was sat after we ordered) had salads, an appetizer, and got their entrees mere minutes after us. That was a bit of a slap in the face. Half of the $50 meat orders had the wrong temperature, and the waitress couldn’t be bothered; we were an inconvenience to her by that point. Meanwhile, $400+ later and I am a bit unhappy. I usually never write a review but this was just completely unacceptable.

   Very good food and service for an average price tag. We spent 90 a head and had drinks, appetizers, sides and steaks. I would recommend this hidden gem for a romantic date night or drinks and apps at the bar. You can’t go wrong.

   Our first experience at this iconic South Jersey restaurant, and we were pleasantly surprised! We love fine dining and Chubby's definitely offers that. The food was perfect (we had steaks), service was attentive and the wine list is extensive. Wine-by-the-glass selection was very limited and didn't include any really good wines. Since we ordered aperitifs before we selected our meal, our initial glasses were far inferior to the bottle we eventually ordered. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wines and decanted our bottle for us. We are leisurely diners. Our 7:30 seating meant that we were the last diners to leave, and the bus personnel were resetting the place around us. During our meal they were too eager to remove our unfinished food, and a busboy came over while we were still eating our entrees to ask us if we wanted take-home boxes. On our next visit we'll make sure to reserve early so we can be seated at seven. Overall our meal was a very good experience, and we'll be back.

   Upon our arrival about 10 minutes early, the hostess could not even find our reservation. Once found we were seated at a very small table against the wall. The bread and water served filled right away then we waited. Customers to the left of us were seated then the to right of us. Still waiting. The customers to the right were approached by their waitress followed by their drinks, still waiting. A waitress approached the customers to the right, I guess she didn't realize they were already being helped. She then went to the customers to the left of us and waited on them. There we were some 30 minutes later and STILL NO SERVICE. It was like we weren't even there. Finally, someone came over to us and asked if we had been helped. At that point, we were beyond livid and decided to leave. NEVER have we been to a place where we were ignored and or overlooked for 30 minutes. There is NO excuse for that type of service anywhere. You can be sure we will NEVER go there again.

   Everyone in our party had either the filet or the rib eye. All were cooked perfectly and were delicious. We share the mushrooms, brussel sprouts and spinach which were all good.

   We had a wonderful experience at Chubbys celebrating a special birthday. The food was great, nice music, and exceptional service from Justin. Definitely highly recommend!

   I took my husband here for his birthday dinner. I had the filet and my husband had the ribeye The steaks were cooked perfectly. Delicious! It's a small intimate place. A little pricey but definitely worth it for a special occasion. And they had a small jazz duo performing while we were eating which was a nice surprise!

    Atmosphere was strange upstairs and we felt forgotten. We waited hours for our food to come, understood that it was a busy Saturday night but it took for too long. The food (when it finally decided to come) was cold and flavorless. Service was bare minimum. We will not return.
