   Amazing all around. Chicken liver pate with a homemade cranberry chutney was superb. The French onion soup had clearly been cooking for hours as the onions were almost liquified with just the right amount of sherry added. A French onion soup worth going out of your way to eat. The fondu was large and very filling on a cold night. We had the gnocchi as the entree and the earthy sauce with lots of black truffles was a great partner to the incredibly fresh tender gnocchi and delicata squash. Every dish was fantastic plus a very attentive waitstaff that seems to work great as a team. Anytime driving past Kennebunkport it will be hard to not stop for dinner.

   This little place is a real find and great addition to Kennebunkport. It’s French but bistro casual. They always have vegan options and updated classics. Drinks and wine are fun too. A real step up from some of the touristy offerings in Dock square.

   We were looking for an open reservation for dinner during Prelude and while we were not familiar with this restaurant, it was the only reservation left anywhere. Upon entering we were instantly charmed by the beauty and ambiance. Our host greeted us warmly and told us to “have fun” which instantly set an awesome intention. Our server was an absolute sweetheart who was knowledgeable, kind and accommodating. I asked her for a pasteurized cheese substitution on a dish we ordered because I am pregnant, and she was immediately responsive. The chef was so easygoing in the accommodation and didn’t seem impositioned in the slightest. We ordered an apple and walnut salad, fondue for 2 and a beautiful orzo risotto. The food was exceptional. Light, exciting and delicious. They had some non-alcoholic options for me and my wife had sparkling roses and sangria, both of which, she loved. On the way out I told the host, who actually may have been the owner, what a lovely experience we had and how being able to get a reservation was a happy accident. It turns out that the were booked months in advance and we were able to book due to a cancellation. If you have not been to this amazing spot, get there soon! Best meal all around I have had in a while.

   Superb! We had a 3 course dinner with wine pairings and a 3 course brunch and both were terrific! Hollandaise was sublime on the eggs Benedict. Quiche was excellent. Gnocchi were perfect little pillows in a lovely mushroom sauce, and the desserts were great. Wine pairings were perfect. Would go again in a heartbeat. Staff was attentive and the owners even gave us a tip on where to find an ingredient.

   Our meal, as always, was wonderful. The food was presented beautifully, the flavors were well-paired and delicious! Amy, our server, was knowledgeable and made our celebration especially enjoyable. We will be back!

   We had the 3 course dinner with wine pairing. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the pairings. All the staff were attentive and took pride in their job. Our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful. We loved the relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

    We went to Chez Rosa’s for the Christmas Prelude Prix Fix …so very happy we did! This chef curated meal with wine pairings was absolutely top shelf. We both had the pate basque with marcona almonds and piquillo pepper mustard, paired with a sparkling Marie Pierre ma coat-cremat de Bourgogne. The wine played off the rustic pork pate nicely. Main course, I chose the Maine scallops with roasted parsnips & carrots, and a lobster mage with thinly sliced grapes, which was paired with a pouilly guise from Dominique Cornin. This meal was heavenly in every aspect! My husband chose the braised beef short rib with a sweet potato tartiflette, wilted greens and an au poivre sauce paired with an aux lieux-dits gigondas from Domaine Santa Duc. His beef was fork tender and deeply flavorful. The taritiflette was a perfect foil for the rich beef . The wine! Blackberry fruit forward without being a jam jar…silky tannins…yum! Neither of us had ever had opera cake, so that was an easy choice…and a great choice. Chestnut, chocolate ganache and velvety butter cream paired with a chenin blanc …perfect end to a perfect meal! Our server Sean was attentive and informative, genuinely interested in the diners in his charge. If you love good food and wine, do not hesitate to dine at Chez Rosa’s….you won’t regret it!
