   GREAT PLACE for a date... only problem is that there aren't any 4 seat tables on the window... Outside of that me and my guests had a wonderful experience...

   We had reservations at 8. Were seated at 8:05. Our first interaction was about a minute late when water was poured. At 8:30 I had to ask our assigned member of the wait staff we wanted to order appetizers. We received them at 9pm. At that time anticipating similar service we ordered our entrees. They arrived at 9:35. My $120.00 waygu striploin was 6 pieces of sliced meat from 1 inch to 1.5 inches. I guess about 5 ounces. I have plenty of experience with waygu from Japan as I order it to my home. Yes what little was served was very good. But the dining experience was not worth $400.00. There are far to many great restaurants in New Orleans to put up with a overpriced sub par experience

   The staff is helpful and considerate with very good table service. However, we ordered the Seafood Tower as a treat for our table of 3 people- and after 30 minutes the floor manager said that the order for the Seafood Tower was "lost" but would be coming momentarily. A few minutes later, the entrees came- so we told the waitress to cancel the Seafood Tower. That was quite a long wait with loss communication from the Oyster Bar and the floor staff. The food quality was fine otherwise- although $65 for Skirt Steak without sides, seems pricey. We have been to the restaurant more than 8 times- but Mother's Day was not a good experience.

   Food is good but EXTREMELY overpriced. Almost $50 for 6 pieces of shrimp with fried grit bites. Service was also just ok. Overall, not the best experience for paying so much money to eat here. I’d go back for happy hour though.

   Our recent dinner at Chemin à la Mer was nothing short of outstanding. We ordered the steaks, salmon, shrimp, and mushroom risotto, and every dish exceeded our expectations.
