   Really enjoyed Cesarina. We got seated outside in the patio, which was heated and had some warm blankets as well. Our server, Thomas, was very friendly with a lot of experience, but you can tell the overall staff is very professional. The food was very good. Really enjoyed the carpacio and you cannot miss the tiramasu dessert. Quite an experience!

   As a first time diner, Cesarina left a lot to be desired, making this an overall unfavorable experience. Negatives: -Food: We started with the soup of the day. It was served lukewarm, which we assumed was intentional. Our entrees, however, were also lukewarm at best. Nothing felt hot and fresh, and as such, the pricing didn’t match the value -Service: A very odd and uncomfortable experience. Our waiter had what I can only describe as a defensive demeanor. When asking about specials, or drinks, or dessert, there was always a contrary and combative exchange. Once, when trying to get his attention and he responded with a casual, yet bothered “what’s up?” we realized the caliber of service to expect. Additionally, I made a reservation at 6:15pm via open table. Hours before, an individual from Cesarina called me, acknowledged the reservation, and asked if it would be okay to move me to 6:30pm. Not a problem. Once there, there was a mix up and it appeared that I had 2 separate reservations, and they made it seem like it was my doing and a “gotcha” moment. But again, they called me. Positive: -The ambiance was nice, with both indoor and outdoor patio seating. My group was seated comfortably inside. The decor was nice and the dishware was fun and colorful. -The photographer who did the table side dessert was a delight. All servers and hosts would benefit from adopting his approach, Overall: While many seem to love it here, I would not return or recommend.

   Tonight’s experience was very disappointing. The food was not that good as our previous experiences at Cesarina. They told me they were out of mushrooms, my husband’s dish did not taste good, and our guest’s dish was dry. To top it off, the cannoli had chocolate inside and we left that dessert on the table. I hope they can bring the quality back they use to have. On top of that, they gave us a bill with a charge for the mushrooms they did not have.

   This is your place if you enjoy authentic Italian made with care and refinement. Best atmosphere and great service. We go for special occasions and when we host people from out of town. Absolutely delish! Regularly exceeds expectations.

   Starting with the welcoming greeting at the door, we had a fantastic experience. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Great team work at delivering food. Everything cooked perfectly. The presentation and taste of the tiramisu was such a treat. The outdoor seating was comfy, with lots of heaters. Dogs welcome and our waiter brought our dog a bowl of water. The music was a touch louder than we’d like, but really not a problem. We highly recommend this restaurant and will return!

   One of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. I appreciate the uniqueness of the decor and the dedication to quality food. Service is always attentive and friendly. Funghi pasta sauce is incredible. I will be back again soon!

   The dining experience at Cesarina was top notch with great waiters and servers. The complementary bread and the cool plates made the ambiance feel like home. The only thing I really didn’t like was the food. We probably got a bad bad because I had ordered the meatballs in my pasta and it was so salty. Overall I’ll give this place 3/5 stars as this place is really overhyped.

    Hands down the best Italian restaurant in San Diego. It really gives you a feel of Italy and food is exceptionally delicious. Everything was a 10 out of 10.
