Cattlemens is a an American steak house and grill. The dining room is designed like an Old West-style saloon. Everything about the decor is an homage to cowboys, gold rush towns and cooking over a campfire. Each night there is a different menu item on special, whether it is the slow-cooked prime rib, 20-ounce T-bone or surf n' turf 8-ounce sirloin and jumbo shrimp combo. Steaks are king at Cattlemens, with several cuts of meat and different seasoning options. In addition to these hearty cuts of beef, there are several rib options guaranteed to fill up even the hungriest diner. These include a rack of baby back pork ribs, classic dry-rub beef ribs or an herb-crusted rack of lamb. The bar menu, or saloon menu as its known at Cattlemens, has several fine spirits, craft cocktails and cold draft beer.

They are remodeling right now so they asked us to wait outside until our table was ready. Mind you it was 35 degrees and windy so that really wasn’t an option. No heaters or anything provided as far as shelter goes. We were basically forced to buy a drink so we could stand in a corner while we waited for our table. The food is always good. The wait staff was great, but the managers or whoever they were walking around and almost running our waitress over so he could lead these young ladies to their table was ridiculous. Have some respect for your wait staff. I don’t really understand the gift card situation. I had a gift card my dad got me and they basically were going to rip me off $15 bucks because they aren’t using them right now or anymore it was really weird. It’s like an inconvenience to utilize a gift card so just beware. I wouldn’t purchase any from them because chances are you’re going to get ripped off. All in all we love CATTLEMENS and we will be back but they have some stuff they need to work out. Managers do better about being more respectful to your wait staff. The place wouldn’t run without them.

Food quality was similar to a Texas Roadhouse or Saltgrass at twice the price. Meat was from 6666 Ranch, but taste and tenderness were like something the average backyard griller would find at the local grocery store meat counter. Not bad, just not impressive either. Good, not great, and not worth the price. 3 star steak at 5 star prices. Sides were meh. Best part was the wedge salad.

It’s a cool place and the steak was good but I’ve had better for less money overall it’s a cool place and I’m glad I ate there but I doubt it’s an experience I’ll repeat. At the prices I paid there are much better options and you can have a comparable meal for about half the price at more budget friendly options. The short version is if you want to have a decent meal with some cool history behind it this is a good option. However better food can be had in Fort Worth for the price

The restaurant was under construction so the lack of space and view being obstructed was understandable. I ordered the filet and was disappointed. For the price, the taste could have been a lot better. My steak was smothered in cracked black pepper, which was really the only seasoning the meat had. We sat at our table for 10-15 mins before the waitress ever came. She never got our drink order, just gave us water. I don’t understand the hype, but maybe we just went on a bad day.

Best steak I’ve had in along time, my wife had the filet and she said it was the best she’s ever had! It was not cheap but a great steak means that no price is too high!

we have been to a lot of other steak houses (bobs , ruth chris, capital grille , del friscos) and cattleman’s was so far the one we disliked the most fir the price of the steaks it was bland in flavor and didn’t look very speaking lots of grisel but baked potato was great as fir the red fish the rice was good shrimp pico tasted like it had been sitting in a pan for awhile and the fish it’s self was pan friend a little to long didn’t like the char taste as for service our waitress was good only reason why we still tipped 25% was for her service not the quality of the food

Visited on Valentine’s Day for dinner with family (total of five) who arrived from out of town, we usually don’t go out on Valentine’s Day due to the crowds and service BUT Cattlemen’s was awesome!! Especially our server Mary (who was juggling several tables), Mary super friendly and we didn’t feel rushed, loved our special time with family, great memories. Our food was excellent (steaks cooked perfectly, chicken fried steak) and our drinks perfect (beers, old fashioned and n/a margarita). Cattlemen’s dining rooms are still in progress for revamping/updating interior but did not change our dining experience, superb!

34 oz. Tomahawk for 2 was well prepared. Ordered med. but was towards med. rare. Normally would have sent it back, but the tenderness and taste made it more than acceptable. Shrimp cocktail was 6 giant shrimp. Large baked potato and a house salad. Peach cobbler with ice cream was very good, but would have preferred a crust instead of cake. Look forward to when the remodeling is complete and the new bar. The renderings look great. The Stockyards best steakhouse.

Everything was excellent, except our reservation. No table was ready. We waited another 45 minutes to get a table. Once seated everything was outstanding.

While the food was delicious as always, our experience was not quite what we have come to expect from this place. They are under construction, and the restaurant now looks like a rented hall with some tables . We made reservations for Feb 13, the day before Valentine's Day. They put us at a table right next to a door which was used to go in and out all during our dinner. It was 23 degrees outside so made it quite cold and uncomfortable throughout our meal. Our waiter made several mistakes, including forgetting to bring us our dinner salads until after we reminded him and then he brought it with our main meals, the salad was to come before the meal. He brought the wrong drink to us, and my fiance had ordered her steak well done, and they did butterfly cut it as he said they would, but it was not well done, it was medium well at best. This has been our go to place for special occasions, anniversaries , birthdays and valentines for several years but I think we will look at an alternate location for the next date night we go out.
