   My wife and I dined at Castaways during our recent visit to Turks & Caicos. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food as it seems to be more of an outdoor club. We both got the Fish & Chips and it was very good! The staff was extremely friendly and we spoke to the host (Nasben) for a long time tableside. He made the experience even more enjoyable as he told us about his family and life on the island.

   Restaurant was closed when we arrived for the reservation, they had new hours posted, but clearly never updated Open Table. This left us with a birthday party and no reservations.

   Lobster was wayyyy wayyyy overcooked and black chargrilled. That within itself ruined the entire meal. Tomato soup was decent but we didn’t go there for soup. Service was very slow and nobody really knew who our waitress was because it kept switching and we finally went to a mgr to get our order taken.

   Good local food and vibe. decent prices for resort. Drink the local beers to save and enjoy. Staff was friendly enough.

    Sitting outside, please have fans. There were bugs everywhere that the waitress gave us big spray. Another waiter put two sterno’s on the table, but it only made it hotter and difficult to finish a meal.
