Nice welcome from friendly staff who explained how the afternoon tea worked. A couple of cool glasses of prosecco later we started our first course from the buffet. There was a selection of sandwiches: egg, tuna and ham/cheese. Along with this there was a selection of open sandwiches: Coronation chicken, avocado/sundried tomato and salmon with cream cheese. Individual quiche and sausage rolls finished this selection. For cakes there were cream scones, banoffee pie, meringue, cheesecake, and profiteroles. There was a hot drinks machine where you could help yourself to refills of teas, coffees, etc. All in all we had a pleasant time here and enjoyed the buffet afternoon tea. Points for improvement: extra clean cutlery should be available as well as clean mugs for refills.

The Hotel is very nice the buffet was good if you like all your sandwiches with mayonnaise unfortunately my wife does not.I asked one of the young gentleman who escorted us to our table if my wife could have her sandwiches with butter. The boy never came back to inform us either way.So for my wife it was limited not everyone likes mayonnaise..

My sister and husband were staying at the hotel so we decided to meet up and book a table for dinner. My husband and I arrived early and had a drink in the lounge bar this lovely waitress came to take our order we had been serving by her in past visits and she was a true professional but I didn’t get her name she is a real asset. My sister and husband came down and we went into the restaurant welcome warm and friendly. The waitress was wonderful as was the food and service we had a lovely evening thank you.

This restaurant has all the hallmarks of a gourmet restaurant. The waiters are friendly and the food tasty. You feel good here, everything is simple and subtle at the same time. A must.

Lovely venue however sandwiches were basic and cakes were uninspiring.Tea served from a metal vacuum was not worthy of a luxury experience.Basic and lacked taste overall.Everything on the tea stand was quite dry and the two small scones were overcooked.Sandwiches could have been much fresher with better quality fillings.

What an absolutely amazing deal, exceptional value. Superb afternoon tea with fizz, served by friendly, helpful, warm staff, in a beautiful environment. Nothing was too much bother. Highly recommend this amazing deal.

I have been here for afternoon tea so many times and its always been really very nice…. Todays visit was disappointing. The quality was very poor. The sausage rolls and quiche were both low quality. The sandwiches were stale and the fillings were bland. Now onto the cakes. Previously there was lots of variety but now there’s approximately 6 varieties…and no one bothered to take the cardboard base from the cheesecake and Banoffee pie. And the scones…… needed a slab of butter to give them some moisture. Overall, very poor and has really went downhill. The best thing is the staff who are all very nice

Food and service was very good up to a point. Spoiled by coffee which came in a MUG ? With no spoon to stir with or sugar to sweeten
