   This was a special night--my birthday dinner with my partner. The atmosphere was lovely, and the food was fantastic. Lots of strong flavors in surprising and gorgeous combinations. The service was perfect. Everything was perfect.

   I was excited to take my fiance to a celebration dinner last night at Casa Virginia after proposing to her earlier in the day. Our dining experience was memorably awful. The service was ​a disaster, lacking both​ attention and ​e​xperience.​ On ​multiple​ occasions, our waiter, seemingly completely inexperienced, forgot ​requests we had just told him​. The staff seemed completely lost. Our main dishes were cold, prompting us to leave our dinner early without finishing our entrees (​Sea Bass and Risotto). We asked that the food be wrapped up and packaged so we could then take it home to reheat. After paying the bill and asking multiple times for our ​packaged up food, we ​w​ere forced to awkwardly stand in the main area of the restaurant ​having to again ask multiple times for our food which was​ now seemingly missing. In a panic, the staff hurried to package up something while laughing in our faces. ​I have since tried to contact the restaurant and have not received any response. Their email address does not work. Needless to say, this is all extremely disappointing for a meal that was over $2600 MXN​. There are far better options throughout Mexico City where the quality of the food and staff are reflective of the prices they charge.

   Got there early before the evening crowd came in. It was very atmospheric, and we loved our service. The food was good, but nothing crazy for the price. Risotto can be done better. Overall, perfect for a date with your loved one.

   Pedí en la reservación una mesa agradable y en un área de menos ruido y nos dieron la mesa menos cómoda a lado de una mesa muy grande con mucho ruido. Lástima. La comida deliciosa.

   Our first time at Casa Virginia and we loved it. It was our best dining experience in CDMX. Everything from the greeting to the seating to the friendly service (especially telling us we’d ordered to much) to the food and Mexican wine was perfect. Definitely will return on our next trip.

   AMAZING dinner, our favorite that we had in Mexico City. The staff was so kind and attentive, and they gave us complimentary dessert and champagne for our anniversary. Loved this spot.

   A mi parecer la comida esta rica sin embargo mis expectativas estaba mas arriba de lo que me dieron de comer. La atención es muy buena. Creo que la comida no me sorprendió. Cualquier otro restaurante sin tener estrellas puede mostrar igual o superior comida.

   In the reservation I asked to have champagne brought to the table for our arrival. They did bring champagne - but it was an entire bottle of Moet that they opened on our behalf without explaining that there was an expectation that we’d have to pay for the entire 2800 peso ($150) bottle. They didn’t communicate any of this to us and when we tried to explain that we only wanted one glass per person (2) at the beginning of the meal they acted like they couldn’t accommodate because they don’t serve by the glass. Our server also pushed multiple dishes on us before we even had time to view the menu. We prefer to share dishes but he ordered two of an appetizer we agreed to try without asking. The food was good but not spectacular. We ultimately had a different server for the rest of the evening who was lovely, but the beginning of the experience and the ridiculous cost was enough to sour the dinner for us. We came ready to experience a meal and were prepared to splurge for our anniversary, but we felt very taken advantage of by the first server. As someone who has worked in the service industry for years - this was not right.

    Amazing beautiful experience that should have a bib gourmand at the least. A fun wine list with kind servers.
