Great food. Although we had reservations, tables were still backed up 1/2 hour. Overall worth it.

Tourist trap…. Not worth it. Find a real NY deli instead.

The restaurant allows so much cold air to enter every time the doors open, it’s like eating outside. And it was 25 degrees out. That needs to be fixed

Large menu. Good diner classics. Nice dessert options. Best diner in the Theater District. Often crowded, reservations suggested.

It is a very crowded restaurant with not much space between the tables which is hard in winter when you have the coat and extra gear. The reuban was OK, but it was hard to find the sauerkraut in the sandwich, which a reuben really needs. The french fries were excellent. We were there during happy hour so the prices for the beer and margarita were reasonable.

Even though I had a reservation, we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. The service was slow, and we had to wait until our meals were served to get utensils. And one of the orders was incorrect and had to be sent back. The pastrami was not as good as the last time I had it here. Not sure if I will be returning.

The food is delicious, the portions generous. The place is typically packed, so reservations are a must. This 8th Avenue location is bigger than the one further uptown, so it felt a little less packed. Our server was delightful: prompt, responsive, & charming. Definitely recommended.
