We were pretty disappointed in the food + availability of what we initially wanted to order. They didn’t have calamari available and when we asked for more bread they were out. It wasn’t too busy but I would have thought they would have been more prepared with food on a weekend. Maybe it’s just a mental note to not go on a Sunday night. Our waitress was very nice. A little difficult to flag down sometimes, but overall she was great. The food we did get (meatballs, whipped ricotta, spicy rigatoni, herb chicken) were ok but not sure the prices are truly worth it, especially as we had to ask for more grilled bread to actually finish the ricotta we received.

Horrible service and even though the food was good does not makeup for it. There is so many amazing restaurants in Dallas and amazing Italian restaurants for the same cost, go there.

Carbone Vino has a beautiful space with great finishes and a nice aesthetic, but the overall experience didn’t live up to the hype. The food was okay—not terrible, but not as exceptional as expected. The service was a bit off, starting with the check-in process. There are two hosts—one for Carbone and one for Vino—standing right next to each other, but there’s no signage to differentiate the two. This caused confusion both for us and our guests who arrived separately, and we were initially told our reservation couldn’t be found, which set a weird tone for the evening. Once seated, the server didn’t mention that the menu was family style until after we ordered, despite us telling her it was our first visit. While family style is fine, it would’ve been helpful to know upfront, as it completely threw off our order when she remarked, "Oh, you’re ordering too much." Additionally, the pacing of the meal was quite slow, with dishes spaced out over a long dinner. Not a dealbreaker, but something we would have appreciated knowing beforehand. There were a couple of other missteps, like our first drink being delivered to another table, which added to the overall disjointed experience. In the end, it wasn’t awful, but the experience didn’t live up to expectations, given the buzz surrounding this restaurant when it opened.

My only reason for give four stars on the overall category is due to the confusion of booking/making a reservation for this restaurant. We was not aware this is actually TWO different restaurants with "Vino" being on one side, while "Carbone" is on the other side. When I made my reservation - I thought I was reserving for the "Carbone" side (not realizing this was a different restaurant, of course). We had already looked at the menu online and through OpenTable which is the menu for "Carbone". Once our server came out and handed us the menu, we was confused as we did not see anything mentioned online that she was telling us. When we asked her, that is when she explained the difference in the two different restaurants, which we was not aware of. She then informed us we have to get a "reservation" card at the front host stand to email and make a reservation for the "Carbone" side of the restaurant. Said all of that to say - 1) this should be better explained when making a reservation and 2) the restaurant should have both menus easily and most definitely understandable that there are two different menus due to there being two different restaurants right next to one another. The service and food was great - so this does not fall on them - this falls on the owners/management of this establishment.

The food was delicious, especially the spicy rigatoni pasta and the dessert with gelato both were excellent. However, the service was a bit lacking as the waitress didn’t seem as attentive as we would have liked. Overall, it was a good experience.

The service was terrible… the food had always been high quality but you must have had a new chef. We will dine at the location next door going forward. It was disappointing

While still a good dining experience, I was expecting much more. I felt it was vastly overpriced and their signature dishes (Chicken Parmesan and Pasta Vodka) left a lot to be desired. Service was extremely courteous, but excruciatingly slow. It’s good to go and check off the box, but I won’t be frequenting.

An Italian restaurant in a great environment. However, the music playing was quite distracting. One would think Italian music would be on display. Not the best of the 80’s. The menu claims to be family style. It’s absolutely not.

Made us wait 45 minutes after our reservation. Said they would comp something and “treat us” but did not. This is the third time this has happened at this location.
