    New Year's Eve at the original Cantinetta is warm and fuzzy! True to form, we are offering a celebratory, multi course menu to close out 2024. Full of romantic energy, candlelight, Italian vino and the GOOD good stuff (In the past we have offered Dungeness crab filled pasta, a perfect steak, truffles...) We can't wait to say "salut" with you! You can find our menu on our website leading up to NYE, but in the meantime, know that there will be vegetarian and gluten free options for each course. Ring in 2025 in Wallingford!

    Good ambience and great service. The food was a bit disappointing, though. The risotto was flavorful but overcooked, the ricotta ravioli was very bland and the carrot appetizer was poorly executed without any caramelization on the carrots. Overall we had a good time and would come back, but the food was just okay. Maybe it was just a fluke, but I hope the food is better next time.

    Very nice that they have seasonal menus and cater to both carnivores and vegetarians. Great neighborhood restaurant. Noise level is really high which makes conversation hard for a table of four.

    Everything about this restaurant impressed us. The hostess was so pleasant and accommodating when we had to call and change the time of the reservation. Our server was outstanding - she explained the menu items explicitly, gave us plenty of time to place our order - not rushed - and she was a genuinely nice person! I loved the ambiance - gave me a San Francisco vibe! The food was equally amazing - the focaccia bread was so light and favorable! The beets were amazing. My husband loved his salmon, the bolognese was one of the best my daughter had, and I loved the mushroom risotto! Put this on your bucket list!

    2 of my friends and I were visiting Seattle from Texas for a work trip and decided to check out Cantinetta after it was recommended by a local friend. I can see why they recommended it! I ordered the Pici and it was amazing. The homemade noodles were perfectly cooked and the flavors were wonderful. Our waiter also recommended a red wine that matched the pasta perfectly. Will definitely go again next time I’m in the Seattle area!
