   Very slow service, although a very busy night in the city. Portions are very small and pricey.

   It was our first time to eat at Cantina Mercatto and after what we experienced, it will definitely not be our last. Thank you Cantina Mercatto for a very memorable and enjoyable evening in which our family was able to celebrate our son's graduation. The food was absolutely flavourful and tasty. We all thought our server was the best waitress we have ever had and just from her service alone, we would definitely be back again. Ambience was wonderful and the food was reasonably priced. Thanks Cantina Mercatto.

   Unfortunately we didn't have the best experience. We sat down and the table was dirty (no biggie, it happens!) Then a young staff member came over and said "Can I fill your waters?". She did, and walked away. She didn't introduce herself, so I didn't expect her to be our designated server. Then we decided what drinks we wanted and our meal and no one came back. I grabbed the young person again and said, "Are you a server?" And she said, "Yes, what can I get you." Again, no introduction, no welcome, right to business. We didn't see her again until we had to flag her down and ask for the check at the end of our meal. The kitchen staff brought out our food, a different person brought out our drinks and she never checked up on us. I normally don't write reviews, but this was just an odd experience. I hope management sees it and just makes sure that the serving staff knows the different between standard service and bare minimum service. Food, drinks, and ambiance was great!

   Food was so-so. Two meals were really good but 2 were meh. Had the seafood pasta but you needed a magnifying glass to find the seafood. Left the restaurant still hungry

   We loved Cantina Mercatto; liked the food and the service was excellent. My only problem was that, even though the restaurant was not full, the noise level was too high for my taste. I had difficulty hearing my friends at the other side of the table. I wish there would be couple of booths to give more privacy for catching up with friends and family.
