   Canoe is always a wonderful experience. Sitting outside by the beach and away from the crowds keeps the noise level to a minimum and the sound of the waves breaking onshore to the maximum. Ahi tuna appetizer and corn nibs were wonderfully tasty but the best was the Maine lobster which while pricey is well worth it. Our wait person Yo added to the experience and was efficient, pleasant and not intrusive. Overall an excellent experience once again

   This is my husband and I fourth time dining there. We like to treat ourselves on special occasions and we love the setting. Sad, We’ve notice the Shokupan Pull-Apart Bread tasted different and it wasn’t as moist. Food is good but the quality of the food is totally over priced it’s ridiculous! The rib eyes, lamb chops etc better melt in your mouth for that price. If you’re bringing your kids there’s no kids menu. We got to watch the maintenance guy light up the torches instead of a guy with a Malu on, C’mon Mauna Lani Auberge, lol! Friendly suggestion, clean up the bathrooms too before dinner service. Floors were wet & sticky! We won’t be back for awhile we’re gonna try somewhere else.

   The Canoe House never fails to provide excellent ambiance, food and service. The menu is appropriate for the setting and everything is prepared perfectly.

   We have been to the canoe house many times over the years and it is one of our favorites. This year was different as the food and time to receive our meal was sub par . My wife had the fish that came out dry , Ask the waiter ( most kind) and he stated yes they overcooked it and got her new meal which was better , I had the lobster which was ok not great and this occurred after waiting 1.5 hours for our meal which they did comp us dessert. Overall great location , way to long to receive food

   Very nice for a special occasion. The food and drinks were expensive but the food was of great quality. The Nikko cocktail was my favorite.

   This kitchen prepares amazing and unique dishes. We have been diners here since Alan Wong was the chef and the current menu meet that standard.The lobster tempura is reminiscent of Allan, prepared slightly differently, but just as delicious. The radish salad is an absolute must. We also feel that the garlic fried rice is the perfect compliment, to your protein of choice. It is definitely hard to beat the setting and the entire staff is absolutely outstanding and they work perfectly in unison to provide amazing service. He will definitely feel the Aloha Spirit at the Canoe House.

   This is always such an amazing restaurant to eat at. The food and atmosphere are so great. It’s hard to get a reservation I recommend at least one month before you come to the big island. One can book a private table by the ocean which we haven’t done, but would love to. The sunsets are beautiful from any outdoor table.

   We went to Canoe House to celebrate a birthday. We were seated towards the back among number of table with families and small children. Not exactly a romantic special seating. Service was slow getting started but then attentive. Food was all excellent, so what large portions of entrees. Food quality was good, selection a little limited. Overall a 4/5 stars.
