Cafe Spice Namaste is back, re-emerging bolder and better than we ever were. Expect many of the Indian culinary classics from the incomparable Cyrus Todiwala, but also some unexpected treats. We are a vibrant neighbourhood restaurant now, perched at the edge of Royal Albert Wharf in the famous Docklands, and we welcome the world to our new home.
We commit to using the best local British produce wherever possible, and always the freshest ingredients. We are proud of our carefully selected, responsible suppliers.

    COMING TO CAFÉ SPICE NAMASTÉ FROM GALLIONS REACH DLR STATION<br />As you exit the station, turn left at Co-Op walk up to the traffic lights turn right on to Gallions Road. Turn left on to Wallis Walk and right on to Shackleton Way then immediate right towards car park on to Hudson Way. You will see a footbridge at the front. We are exactly across the bridge. The walk should take approximately 4-5 minutes. <br />The Elizabeth Line is now open, making West London feel a lot closer to the Royal Docks. Getting off at Custom House and taking the DLR to Gallions Reach can take between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on where you board. The price is just £95, and there will be raffles and auctions to raise even more money for Colonel Tim Coles and his important work. The menu will certainly feature Haggis, and in the 17 years we've hosted this annual supper, we've never failed to satisfy our guests. James has generously donated a couple of special MacSween's CHIEFTAIN HAGGIS for auction. Pipe Major Chic Mackie of HM Blackwatch will play the pipes.

    Cyrus Todiwala, the renowned chef, author, and broadcaster, is hosting a dinner at Cafe Spice Namaste in London’s Docklands to raise funds as part of the 2025 Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch. The funds raised will support veterans of His Majesty’s Armed Forces in finding employment. Cyrus, along with Michelin-starred chef Daniel Galmiche and chef Gary Hunter, will prepare a multi-course feast featuring their favourites, accompanied by outstanding wines from Portugal. Limited seats are available, and tickets are just £95, which includes a bubbly reception and dinner with wines. Other drinks and service charges are not included.

    Was looking forward to coming here after finding out they had reopened. Had previously enjoyed dining there when it was in Aldgate. Unfortunately the place seems to have taken a turn for the worse. The menu is tapas-style now. Dishes are still tasty but some of the higher priced sharing bowls are not even enough for 1 let alone 2. They won’t do a plain naan, only garlic or peshwari. The fact they refused made it feel like the naan is pre-made and not fresh. And the garlic naan is so garlicky it overpowers anything you eat with it. The home made kulfi was the saving grace. Would go back just for that. Parking is a nightmare. You have to park in specific spaces, go inside and get a parking permit, go back out and put it in the car. If those spaces are full and you drove there, you might as well turn around and go home or expect a hefty fine.

    An absolute treat for you tastebuds Service we excellent, I am on a low salt diet and they bent over backwards to accommodate me. It was also a pleasure to meet Cyrus and his lovely wife Pervin who made us feel totally at home. An incredible experience that I would recommend everyone to try. We will definitely be going back

    What a lovely place to come to eat, food was great, service excellent with a very warming family feel. Location was great too and you are just under where the planes come in to land, strangely you couldnt hear them at all until you saw one come past you head. Definately coming back again to try the dishes I didnt get to try because I was so stuffed I could hardly move after. Well done guys for creating such a good place to eat excellent food for whatever occasion. Nick

    Quality food, with huge authentic flavours from an awarding chef. If you are looking for something slightly different in a welcoming atmosphere, where the food is served at an elevated level but reasonably priced - this is for you. Mr T was in the restaurant and talking to his customers as was Mrs T , so they are hands on not just a name above the door. It is a new venue but not far out of London and very well worth the trip.

    Amazing food. So flavoursome and tasty. The pork vindaloo is to die for. This in not your normal 'Indian' it is so so much better. Staff were nice, friendly and attentive. I can't wait to return

    This is the best restaurant and London, and an absolute must-visit for anybody who enjoys food or new cultural experiences. I learn something new every time I go. Although I miss the ostrich bhuna of bygone years, there is so much choice on the menu that I spend a while just enjoying the experience of choosing. This time, I particularly enjoyed the beetroot chaat and the paneer chaat (the latter from the seasonal menu), and the raspberry and sorrel sorbet. The hospitality staff even brought out a cake for my boyfriend's birthday - without being asked - with a beautiful sparkler. This was a lovely addition to an already 10/10 meal and experience. Chef Todiwala has set up a kitchen where the food is absolutely excellent, it feels very modern with hybrid cuisine, and the atmosphere is just lovely. I could not recommend this restaurant enough, and I for one really enjoy travelling on the DLR and the clean air around the docks.

    Not our first or second or…. every visit has been fantastic. Great service, food always beyond expectations and nicely out of that ‘over the top’ busy city environment. Highly recommend the tasting menu, with a couple of preferences added.
