Good food, nice Service. It was loud when I first went in, but after a while, there was less people, and the noise level went down towards the end. Overall, would go again

Took a chance on a tip and it paid off. I’m always a bit leary of “French” US restaurants. A lot tend towards pretentious and fussy. Cafe Sauvage was delightful. The food was good, the staff charming and unobtrusive. The music choices were good and not deafening. We had the mussels in coconut milk and the toast chicken as well as the French onion soup - all of it was great. Thanks. We’ll be back next time we’re in Boston.

Again, a Wonderful French dinner experience. We were seated on time, our apps came right out and we never felt hurried. The entrees were elegantly presented and the wine wonderful and not overly expensive. One of the best values in Boston

Have really enjoyed Cafe Sauvage, but this visit was just an okay dinner experience. I've ordered one of their cocktails a number of times before - From Paris to Boston. This time, it arrived syrupy and sweet. Barely drank it. I didn't make a fuss (and wasn't asked if it was okay) and ordered a glass of red wine. It seemed they were out of some of their wines. If the bill was correct, while I ordered a french pinot noir, the one that came was from San Luis Obispo and was not very good. It seemed like the staff was having an off night. One server, who was lovely, seemed to be covering the whole restaurant. Food was okay but not up to par of the brunch experiences I've had at Cafe Sauvage. Great decor/ambience as usual. I'll return, but hoping for better.
