   This was our first time visiting Cafe Dacha, but we will be back. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious with generous portions. If you are familiar with and enjoy Eastern European foods, you will enjoy the many treats on their menu. If you are not familiar but like experiencing new cuisines from around the world, you will enjoy their tasty and hearty dishes. We tried the vareniki (perogi) appetizer, which came in an assortment of cabbage, potato, and cheese fillings served with sour cream. Fantastic. We also tried their house cured herring, which we had on bread with capers and onions. Very good. For our entrees my wife had the Golubtsi (stuffed cabbage) which was fantastic (I tried it too) and it was an enormous portion. I went with the Goulash which I greatly enjoyed. We finished by splitting the Napoleon cake for dessert and we rolled out of there stuffed and with leftovers. Highly recommend.

   I my opinion, Dacha is a hidden gem on the north shore. The food is fresh and delicious and comes out to your table right from the oven. I highly recommend this place

   This was our first time dining at Dacha. Our server was excellent, the food was excellent and made for an all around great dining experience. Can’t wait to go back and try other things on the menu.

   This is a real gem. It's the warmest, kindest gift of a restaurant in Highland Park. If you like looking around and feeling like you're in a charming little hamlet a little off the beaten tourist track in Europe, you'll love Cafe Dacha. Bravo!

   Totally enjoyed our dinner and the two waitstaff worked miracles serving as a team the entire restaurant! Food was delicious and well prepared. A great place with lovely people and food

   We were in the Chicago suburbs from out of town and just stumbled across this place because the Eastern European menu looked intriguing. Glad we did! There was a large group at the table next to us, but even so the noise was not overwhelming. The food was delicious (great borscht, and different from what I'm used to), the service was friendly (despite how busy they were), and the ambiance was cozy.
