   We sat outside on the balcony overlooking the River Walk. Noise was moderate. Even being outside it was dark. Food was outstanding. Wine was good. Will definitely good back.

   My wife and I ate dinner at Brenner’s on a Wednesday evening. The place was busy but our reservation was ready on time. Our waiter, Daniel, was superb. knowledgeable, pleasant, attentive and helpful. His suggested appetizer of bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp was absolutely superb. We both ate the short rib with mole and grits, honestly one of the best dishes either of us has eaten in a long time. Wines by the glass were acceptable in quality and price. Clearly we did not eat or drink from the high end of the menu which would have been way over the top in price, but what we chose was fair value. Overall a very good experience.

   Food was great but we felt rushed throughout the meal. The entree was delivered before we had even finished or drinks and salad. The music played over the speakers was much too loud and detracted from the whole experience. We will not return.

   Now this is our favorite restaurant in San Antonio. Lovely setting, live music and a most delicious dinner. We will return.

    We had a late reservation for 7 for dinner while in town for a wedding. When we arrived, no one was at the door to greet us; 5 minutes later, the first person to acknowledge us was a young woman with a massive nose ring and in a short skirt and mid-thigh boots dressed more in line with a streetwalker than the first impression at a nice steakhouse. The head waiter, who was curious and attentive, was great. The support staff killed the whole experience; their lack of awareness was shocking. To make it worse they brought up silverware, slammed it down inches from my family and friends, and proceeded to prepare cutlery for the next day's service. I have waited tables in my young adult life. It was very much something that would have been frowned upon in a cafe or a high-end restaurant. Preparing for the next service should have been completed without the guest's sight. I had to ask the head waiter to have them move. It was so disrespectful to us and a complete disregard for our experience. Also, there were no managers to be found, and sadly, get better service at other establishments. This was very disappointing for Landry's business, the are typical so well managed at all levels of their business. But this was suppose to be a special occasion dinner especially and it was ruined by poor management. I think if you spend nearly $800 for a meal, there is a certain expectation. I would not recommend Brenner's on Riverwalk because of a lack of respect for customer experience and management oversight.
