A staple and was once my favorite place to get Boeuf Bourguignon…. Seems to have declined a bit. The meat was dry the flavor missing. Just not what it was before. Not sure what changed. Even how it was plated it wasn’t as wonderful as it was before. The other dishes were also not up to par. The Duck Confit had no flavor, the lamb was also underwhelming. It is just sad that it doesn’t seem to be what it was. Soups were consistent and that’s about all I can say for this experience. May be a good but before we return and see if it worked out the issue. Very disappointed. Service was great. The waiter we had was very kind and attentive.

Hi. I met a friend who I hadn’t seen for 20 some years and I’ve just suffered a death on my family. My friend and I went to high school in Georgetown and I have a daughter at that same school now and my friend’s son is at Georgetown University. The fire alarm went off 10 minutes after we got there and essentially went off the whole time. We were very lovely and kind to our wait staff and they were lovely but I would have expected a thank you from the manager and my drinks comped or a free dessert of something. It was EXTREMELY disruptive and we stayed the whole time and were polite and positive. I know other patrons complained, left etc. just food for thought. Thank you! -Susan

The food has gone downhill a lot, which is so sad. My friend called in mediocre. Another very big problem is the 20 percent “service charge” added to every bill. This is highway robbery, not disclosed before ordering, and was explained to us as a way to make up for rising prices. But we all know that is not what it is. I won’t be back anytime soon.

I am actually shocked at the experience we had for brunch here. I had been before for drinks only and decided to book for brunch. Our French toast arrived cold, and our server had not told us what the seasonal fruit compote that was paired with the French toast was (ended up being banana, which we would not have chosen.) The poached egg on the egg Benedict was completely overcooked- over medium- and not runny at all. We ended up sending everything back (which we very rarely do.) Everything was a disappointment down to the drinks. The Bloody Mary was terrible. Ended up not drinking it and ordered a mimosa instead. The server never once asked if it was ok or why I asked for a new drink. The manager was hardly apologetic for any of it. Ended up not paying for the food but still paid for the drinks- was charged for the Bloody Mary. Unfortunately this was supposed to be a birthday brunch for my sister and it was a complete disaster. It’s a shame for how pretty the inside is.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s usually very good. This time it was so crowded every room was used. We were in the far back. The food was definitely not as good. I had mussels that were chewy and torn apart. Appetizer came after main course delivered. Took two or three times requests to get drinks. They all seemed overwhelmed.
