The Botanist was recommended to us by our nephew and since we were going to Vancouver we made reservations at the last minute. Brunch was the only meal available during our stay and we have zero regrets! The service was attentive, but not intrusive (shout out to Jess, who was friendly, professional and helpful - always able to answer our questions about ingredients and preparation style!). We opted for the full 3 courses and each was more impressive than the last. The aesthetics of each dish, the quality of the ingredients and the flavor profiles were absolutely delightful! Being able to enjoy the courses with a mimosa and a cocktail was a pleasant surprise, as well. And the drinks? Truly inspired! And then live DJ was a fun addition. We left feeling giddy, and it wasn't just the sparkling wine talking.... we felt welcomed, cared for and well-fed. Our experience at The Botanist was the perfect exclamation point on an already fabulous visit to Vancouver. We hope to be back again the next time we journey north ...

Found the restaurant through a ‘best brunch place’ search; it is also on the Michelin guide website. Ordered one each of the 2 and 3 course set brunch menu. We had some delightful surprises along the way such as a special chair for your purse, 2 fancy drinks included per set, and pre-split dishes for most of the items because our server confirmed we were sharing our different choices. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. We were seated in a cozy atrium area with lots of plants around. Will definitely return for another celebration.

Treated like a valued guest, even though I was dressed casually and don’t have “posh manners”. Came for the Raincouver Cocktail - it was wonderful, complete with detailed presentation from the bartender - my foam bubble rain cloud was refreshed several times before I finished the drink. Also had the seared scallops (delicious), as well as complimentary olive plate and sourdough bread. Greycup festival was happening all down the block outside, so that explains the louder noise level - quiet conversation was still possible. A most excellent experience!

Lovely experience! We decided to stay at the lounge since we were interested in cocktails & desserts. Service was a bit spotty at times but it was a busy weekend! The foie Gras fat washed cocktail was a disappointment… desserts were really good!
