   Dear bosk team, I hope this message finds you well. I recently had the pleasure of dining at bosk, located in the Shangri-La Hotel Toronto, at 7:00 pm on Friday, April 18, 2025, during Good Friday. I visited Toronto, Ontario as a male guest and am a Vietnamese-born Canadian citizen currently living in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed, and my evening was made even more special by the exceptional service provided by my server, Sanjana. Her professionalism, friendliness, and attentiveness truly enhanced the entire dining experience. The meal was outstanding from start to finish. The freshly served bread with olive oil was a delightful beginning. I enjoyed the refreshing Zero Proof Sparkling Riesling, which paired beautifully with the courses that followed. For my appetizer, the Zuppa di Sedano Rapa featuring Green Acres Farms Celeriac Soup, shaved celery and leaves, Brodflour sourdough crouton, and parsley oil was both comforting and flavourful. The main course, Merluzzo e Risotto Nero, showcased a perfectly poached Fogo Island cod with squid ink risotto, white sofrito, preserved chili, and pickled fennel, offering a wonderful balance of tastes and textures. The evening concluded with the Millefoglie al Pistacchio, a delightful dessert made with pistachio cream, puff pastry, and crunchy pistachio gianduja. Enjoying a regular coffee with cream alongside dessert was the perfect ending to a memorable meal. Thank you to the entire bosk team for delivering such a remarkable dining experience.    Great service, Sanjana was so kind and attentive. Ambience was tranquil and quiet, we were tucked away from the main lobby so we couldnt hear the hum at all. The elderflower mocktail was a little too sweet for me but beautifully made, and they had a few other options as well that were more light and fresh. The burrata was so unique and delicious and I enjoyed every bite of my carbonara. If you're pregnant, everything is pasteurized so you can eat to your hearts content!

   I was there for a birthday which I had stated in my reservation. We got what I think was the worst table in the place, it wasn’t busy as we went pre theatre at 6 pm so not sure why anyone would take this table, pinned against a wall over lit and staring at the waitress station. I ask to be moved which happened, much better. Waitress was not very well versed in menu and was also quite absent, no water refills and didn’t check on how meal was, which was all pretty good, food I mean. End of day it was okay but not a repeat or recommendation.

   Amazing menu and staff was attentive and very sweet. First time coming here and won’t be my last. Lovely host stand and our waiter got us a couch at the hotel lobby after dinner.

   We had a delicious meal here - the burrata starter, duck pasta & ribeye steak for mains, and coffee semi freddo dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection & and the flavours were so good. Service was also excellent!
