   I love the space of this restaurant, and believe this is the old Hard Water location which they have smartly kept mostly intact. It has a lovely central bar area, and seating that encircles it. The service and food are both excellent here, but a few things seemed odd to me about the mixed portion sizes. As someone who doesn't eat fish or red meat, I always am challenged at French restaurants, and in the case of this restaurant the chicken was the only entree option for me, so I went with that (in spite of the $40 price) and a beet salad hors d'oeuvres. The two dishes could not be more out of scale with one another. When the beet salad arrived, I thought it was an amuse bouche it was so tiny. Admittedly, it is priced accordingly, but I was nonetheless hoping for more.We were appropriately forewarned that the chicken would be a large portion (helps explain the $40 cost), but it still seems odd. My partner's salmon entree was much smaller, which is fine, and his salad was also minuscule, so he ended his meal well in advance of me and was left to wait while I toiled away on my chicken. The chicken is large enough to be shared by two people (I took about half of mine home) so I would opt for that if you want to split it with someone or if you are fine with leftovers. I must say the chicken was absolutely delicious with a crispy skin, and yummy sauce and potatoes and mushrooms. But it still seems like the portion sizes of some of the salads and entrees should be rethought in terms of the overall diner experience. I did see what looked like a caesar salad near me, and it looked a bit more "salad-like" in portion size and both hors d'oeuvres were appropriately priced for their small size, Maybe it is just a matter of putting the smallest items in a separate category on the menu to manage expectations? In spite of this portion size matter, it was a great meal and served in a beautiful space with lovely staff.

   Very good French bistro in San Francisco! Small lunch menu, not cheap but authentic French dish. Pain Bagnat was excellent; remind me my childhood. Highly recommended for a stop when walking on Embarcadero water front.

   Our Maitre d was unfriendly and was not engaging. For a restaurant this caliber personal touch is what makes the difference. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. The food was decent nothing extraordinary. The interior design is very chic and hip, movie projection on the wall was a nice touch and music was fun. Overall the experience was underwhelming considering how much hype was accumulated over the this restaurant.

   Great food, ambiance and overall fun restaurant experience! You don’t even feel like you’re in SF instead you’re transported to a Parisian or NYC restaurant vibe. SF really needs more dining out places like this!

    This was a great find! Brand new, only about a month old, at Pier 3. We decided to go with heavy apps. Everything was simply amazing and delicious! And our server, Rebecca, was just absolutely wonderful...attentive, engaging, knowledgeable and energetic! The rest of the staff were just as attentive and friendly! We had a great evening!
