   Yearly pilgrimage to Block One on our ski trip to Silverstar never disappoints. Best view over the vineyard down to the lake. Parker house rolls served with honey were fabulous. Service was charming and efficient. Mains and wine matches were terrific. My prawns were perfect!

   Highly recommended! Staff were amazing and the chef tasting menu was beyond all expectations, every single detail of the tasting menu was unique, interesting, flavourful and purposeful... i.e. who knew beets could taste that incredible and all the touches to make beets both taste and look awesome... next level! A perfect date night experience!

   The sharing style menu was super enjoyable, a really nice way to try a number of plates and flavors, rather than just committing to one entree. Dishes were beautifully plated and equally, if not more, delicious. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and genuine, they consistently engaged with our children and made sure they had a special experience too. Standout dishes were the Scallops and Mole Mushrooms, but everything was delicious!

   We went for the Valentines experience and it did not disappoint! 5 courses paired with phenomenal wines, each dish had amazing flavour, even the ones we were a little hesitant to try! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top notch dining experience! We were so excited for the food we forgot to take before pictures of all the courses. I also would like to give a big shout out to the staff and how amazing the service is. We will be back for more amazing times at Block One!

   We have been dining here for years. This meal was terrible. The menu was a chef trying way too hard. We ate from the seafood portion of the menu. The scallops were great the other three dishes were awful. So disappointing for such a beautiful place. Stop over doing every dish and focus on the quality. The fish and the lobster were both undercooked and tasted awful. Be better please, we love the restaurant.

   The $100 per person tasting menu, was a series of 4 small shared plates, as in, we shared each dish. The first course was tasted so strongly of onion, we couldn't eat it so they offered us some saute'd mushrooms instead. The main course was about 2oz of beef with some over-sauced and over-salted vegetables in gravy. We were so hungry when we left. And, we were told that the only reservation available was at 8:15pm but when we arrived, the restaurant was not even half-full. Usually, our experience at Block One is very good, but this event was a big disappointment.
