Blanco Castelar is located in Emilio Castelar 163, in the iconic Casa Domit. The restaurant opened its doors in June 2017 and since then it has managed to become one of the best restaurants in Polanco. Combining the architectural beauty with art and culture, this restaurant is one of the hotspots of the area.

The gastronomy of Blanco Colima it’s a fusion between Spanish cuisine with Mexican accents. Its based on products of the highest quality creating a menu that focuses on the ingredient through our chef’s perspective.

It has a relax bar that offers fun cocktails to our guests created by our mixologist focused on bringing the best experience by using always high quality ingredients. Our proposal has a range of possibilities: from classic cocktails to signature cocktails, where no matter what you drink the quality and detail are noticeable.

Blanco Castelar suele ser uno de mis lugares favoritos, sin embargo ayer 14 de febrero todo estuvo mal. Uno va buscando la misma experiencia y calidad de siempre y no es válido que por ser un día especial lo saturen y bajen el nivel. No se respetaron las reservaciones y nos pasaron tarde, el servicio era extremandamente lento, las mesas estaban casi pegadas unas a otras y gente en los pasillos, nula privacidad e intimidad, las entradas llegaron frías y el plato fuerte en el terminó incorrecto, y todo lo que decían era “disculpe usted es que tenemos más gente de la normal por la fecha”. De verdad es un grave error meter el doble de gente de su capacidad solo para aprovechar la fiesta y ganar más dinero, cuando claramente esto significa una mala experiencia para todos, muy decepcionado de que decidan ganar más dinero un día a cambio de dar una tan mala experiencia a sus comensales.

El servicio de meseros y capitán fue extremadamente lento, al grado que el capitán ignoró nuestrollamado; cambió drásricamente (para bien) cuando el gerente tomó control de la mesa. El gerente se esmeró, convirtiéndose la velada en amena. A pesar de haber reservado una mesa en la terraza, nos colocaron en un lugar confinado y ciertamente improvisado. Rechazamos la mesa y nos sentaron en una mejor al interior. La comida con buena calidad.

I love the restaurant, the only thing that I don’t like is the fact that people are allowed to smoke in the patio and the smell of cigarettes gets into the non-smoking area.

Our non smoking table was next to the patio chain-smokers and it was a terrible experience. Service was extremely slow and food was less than average. First and last time there One small unisex bathroom was dirty and the lock didn’t close. Other tables that got after us were served first. We were unaware that tip was included and overtipped
