Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

    I will always love Blacklock, I come here regularly, sometimes I have come here twice in one day. I love the pre chop bites, the steak sarnie, the all in. When I’m feeling like treating myself I love a house red and the cheesecake. The staff are always nice - thank you! My favourite restaurant in London.

    Absolutely friendly, efficient, considerate service. Great sweet potato. The garlic bone marrow top notch. Great choices to taste and size of appetite regarding steaks and lighter fare. A bit noisey but not unpleasant A definite return.

    A really good experience. All the staff looked after us really well, finding us a quieter table, dealing with our BYOB bottles, even chasing us up the street to give us a scarf that we'd left behind.

    My husband had been keen to have a Sunday lunch platter at Blacklock for quite some time. It was definitely worth waiting to be able to book a table. The food was excellent, a sharing platter for three plus cauliflower cheese just the right amount for two adults and two children
