Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

    There are some restrictions about time limitations. You can spent time at your table depends on how many people you are such as for 2 people you are allowed to spend an hour, for 3 people half an hour, for 4 people 2 hours. I have never seen like a time limitations in my whole life.

    Good food, decent setting, there was a bit of a wait between ordering and the food arriving and some people weren’t entirely full at the end.

    Really, really amazing food, james/ jim was amazing had a laugh & made it a personal experience, waitress was really good too but didn’t get her name :( , definitely come back next time we are in london!

    Been here a few times over the years and always thought the service was fantastic and food was great. Last few times we have been the service hasn’t been that great, slow and not very personable. Food nice still, but will probably find other steak restaurants to go to now.

    Service, food and ambience was perfect. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that it was very loud and on occasions struggled to hold a conversation with my partner.

    The staff here are just amazing, couldn’t fault them, attentive and fun. The food is of the highest quality, great value for money as well. Highly recommend!

    Food, service and surroundings were fabulous as always. Once again my garlic allergy was taken account of and changing part of my starter's ingredients was no trouble. Will definitely go back.
